that ruled.

for someone who everyone claims is such a dick, he sure was smiling a lot and talking to people in the crowd before he played. i think the dick thing is all an act. he's a sweetheart.

what did he play?

Posted by Anonymous | December 18, 2008 10:58 AM

yeah dude's a nice guy - and was fucking killer solo. I wish he did that more often. A solid 30 minute or so set.

Is it my imagination or is one in every five posts on BV these days a Jay Reatard post?

"Is it my imagination or is one in every five posts on BV these days a Jay Reatard post?"

It is your imagination. Get a life.

face!

The guy has a great deal of potential as a musician. The licks that he pulls off are certainly more innovative than some of the other stuff I've seen from other solo artists.

place was not as packed as it was for KK & BBQ.
Great moment when he said " is someone playing fucking video games while I am playing here, shit is so fucking rude!"

he closed with a song where he said " suck my cock " over and over. he left the room with some nasty feeback and we ate it up.
great songs, never boring. even with an acoustic guitar the guy still is punk as fuck.

since when is being a huge a dickhead asshole a sign of being "punk as fuck"?

looks boring as shit from the photos

from these comments, it looks like whoever is doing Jay Reatard's publicity sure has a lot of time on their hands

how transparent can you be? no real fan would ever waste their energy typing up the kind of saccharine bullshit praise you guys put up here

Posted by Anonymous | December 18, 2008 10:20 PM

jay seems like the real deal to this non-publicist.

however, i have a hard time finding the intersection of "jay reatard" and "wired magazine". it's not like the guy is super tech saavy or anything? weird, but cool.

Posted by Anonymous | December 19, 2008 4:10 AM

the intersection is simple to find:

MONEY

Posted by Anonymous | December 19, 2008 10:01 AM

jay reatard may or may not be the real anything, he's got talent but he's a totally off balance asshole fuck.

what's definately not for real is rhe publicity machine behind him
