Posted by bill p | December 17, 2008 6:33 PM

there might be preorder/presale for nyc shows. they haven't listed any ticket info for them yet.

i don't really get how it works anyway. do you preorder the album when you order your tickets via presale? that's how it looks to me.

seriously though. the mozzer at bowery. hell, even webster would be awesome. even carnegie. jeez louise. i can't remember the last time i've been to carnegie hall. would be pretty sweet!

Posted by wembley | December 17, 2008 6:39 PM

Posted by jan janson | December 17, 2008 6:52 PM

finally some venues he can sell out!

Posted by Anonymous | December 17, 2008 6:58 PM

*PRAYS THAT BOWERY AND WEBSTER ARE ALL AGES!!!!*

Still awesome. I will be at carnegie hall.

Morrissey doesn't eat animals, but no doubt if it were legal, he would eat that baby.

Posted by Jeffrey Dahmer | December 17, 2008 7:06 PM

is the rumored market hotel show still on?

Posted by Anonymous | December 17, 2008 7:07 PM

"is the rumored market hotel show still on?"

yes, but I will not be there

Morrissey is holding that baby where it pees

Posted by Anonymous | December 17, 2008 8:39 PM

Wow, big news. Bowery will be SICK.

Posted by Tremags | December 17, 2008 8:46 PM

market hotel is a dump. He wont play there, very likely since rats were poisoned there trying to clean up the place...

Another reason he wont play is because maybe only 4 outlets in the whole place work and its a risk of being shocked plugging in there.

Posted by Anonymous | December 17, 2008 8:46 PM

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE LET ME GET WHAT I WANT

(aka an all ages show at Bowery!)

Otherwise I'll have to settle for Wellmont Theatre in Montclair. But in any condition, I CAN'T WAIT!!

Posted by Anonymous | December 17, 2008 8:48 PM

why is Morrissey holding a baby? I don't understand!

Posted by Anonymous | December 17, 2008 8:54 PM

I got the same excitement as the headline states!!!!!!!!!

I'd love to go to the Bowery because it's become my favorite venue and it's near my subway line, what else could you wish for?

Please keep us updated on the sale dates BV!

Posted by dee | December 17, 2008 9:18 PM

children, the bowery is always 16, 18 or 21+.

Posted by Anonymous | December 17, 2008 9:25 PM

So that's Morrissey with his new lover? hmm. young.

Posted by Anonymous | December 17, 2008 9:30 PM

he's not playing @ Bowery . here is the Offical website http://www.itsmorrisseysworld.com/
:(

Posted by Anonymous | December 17, 2008 10:13 PM

Oh, I'll be in Russia when he plays there. How exotic.

Posted by Anonymous | December 17, 2008 10:29 PM

Why do you come to Bowery, when you know it makes things hard for me? When you know? Oh, why do you come?

Posted by Reggie Kray | December 17, 2008 10:49 PM

morrissey looks like he's sculpted from a turd

Posted by Anonymous | December 17, 2008 10:58 PM

"he's not playing @ Bowery . here is the Offical website "

You have no idea what you're talking about.

Posted by Anonymous | December 17, 2008 10:58 PM

I will be at the bar with my head on the bar.

Posted by Ronnie Kray | December 17, 2008 11:08 PM

this is the same week as SXSW...

Posted by Anonymous | December 17, 2008 11:35 PM

"this is the same week as SXSW..."

the bowery show, that is.

Posted by Anonymous | December 17, 2008 11:36 PM

"this is the same week as SXSW..."

damn it!

Posted by Anonymous | December 17, 2008 11:39 PM

thanks for this . So thanks again and in the spirit of community - I’m following you up!

Posted by ألعاب | December 18, 2008 5:26 AM

i hope the bowery and webster shows are 25+.

Posted by Anonymous | December 18, 2008 7:13 AM

That picture of Morrissey reminds me of one I took of my girlfriend Linda with my son when he was about that age--she has absolutely NO maternal instincts and it showed in the picture. I can't see Morrissey as a Dad AT ALL.

Posted by Deb | December 18, 2008 8:24 AM

"i hope the bowery and webster shows are 25+"

good call, honestly!

Posted by Anonymous | December 18, 2008 8:39 AM

I hope they are 26+

Posted by Anonymous | December 18, 2008 8:57 AM

yeah, 26+ would be awesome!

it's a little irritating going to shows and being surrounded by little kids.

those little teenagers (or even pre-teens) almost ruined of Montreal at Roseland.

Posted by wembley | December 18, 2008 9:12 AM

how about 30+ and no beards allowed..that would rule..

Posted by Anonymous | December 18, 2008 9:19 AM

NO BEARDOZ

Posted by Anonymous | December 18, 2008 9:34 AM

I'm happy the Bowery show is doing SXSW. That means less competition to get in - less people they have to let in on the guestlist.

Posted by Anonymous | December 18, 2008 9:35 AM

Morrissey at the Bowery? Could it get any better than that? Maybe Radiohead at the Mercury Lounge...I'm hallucinating now...

And the show should be 45+ -- just Moz and his peers, like me.

Posted by david z | December 18, 2008 10:13 AM

didn't see it listed at the Carnegie site, maybe not announced yet?damn Moz at Bowery!!!

Posted by Anonymous | December 18, 2008 10:30 AM

the bowery show could end abruptly when all the 45 year old straight males decide to get on stage to hug him and morrissey can't continue like what happened at the Jones Beach show when he was touring for his 2nd solo CD in 91.

Posted by Anonymous | December 18, 2008 12:37 PM

LOL thats true, I'm sure all the repressed 45 yo will be wetting their pants trying to get a hold of the Moz's stuff

Posted by Anonymous | December 18, 2008 1:44 PM

Moz is absolute whiny garbage

Posted by Anonymous | December 18, 2008 2:42 PM

one of the best lyricist of all time..to all the haters, shove it.

Posted by Anonymous | December 18, 2008 3:01 PM

His real kid is around 7yrs old now.

Posted by Anonymous | December 18, 2008 3:30 PM

the baby has huge ears

Posted by Anonymous | December 18, 2008 6:39 PM

I'm already putting this on the list of worst (or best) album covers of 2009! lol

Posted by Anonymous | December 18, 2008 6:45 PM

lol radiohead did play mercury lounge right before The Bends came out...

Posted by Anonymous | December 19, 2008 12:47 AM

Morrissey fans. LOLZ.

Posted by Anonymous | December 19, 2008 6:20 PM

I have already booked my flight from Sweden to NY for the Bowery Ballroom-show. So now its just a question of getting tickets...

Posted by Totopez | December 22, 2008 4:44 AM

Toto do you know Bowery holds maybe 550? Will sell out in maybe 10 seconds...good luck!

Posted by Anonymous | December 22, 2008 8:29 AM

Hello Fellow Moz fans!!!
I plan on visiting Philadelphia in March and Morrissey is scheduled to perform there on March 22, which is my birthday. Did Morrissey's show in Philly sell out? I can't seem to find any info on that particular show anywhere.

Posted by Anonymous | January 1, 2009 6:53 PM

April 15th in New Mexico? How could he NOT headline Coachella!

Posted by lovesmesumcake | January 1, 2009 8:39 PM

MORRISSEY! tix on sale soon! Which venue will be better the bowery or carnegie? I never been to the carnegie, any suggestions?

Posted by practicing troublemaker | January 7, 2009 3:31 PM

the bowery/webster tickets were gone within a minute i think.

Posted by ralphjunior | January 8, 2009 11:00 AM

I was refreshing my browser constantly as the 11 o'clock hour approached. Cliked through for Bowery tix the SECOND they were available, and were already sold out. I hopped over and scored one for Webster, though.

This morning, the Carnegie Hall site didn't have purchase info, only with a "more info" link to the Bowery Presents site. Now they're on sale, but the five best-tier seating areas are taken up. Screw it, I'll be happy with Webster.
