President-elect Barack Obama has appointed former first lady of the United States, Senator Hillary Clinton as the next US Secretary of State. Hillary Clinton, who was Obama's democrat rival to get a Presidential nomination, later came out in open, supporting Obama's candidature and even campaigned for him against Republican John McCain.
