Because you get the (slight) chance to buy Moz Bowery tickets in the presale.

Posted by Anonymous | January 7, 2009 5:24 PM

"i agree, you are a whiner, some cities dont even get morrissey at all, eduardo, you baby"

What did Eduardo say????????????

Posted by Anonymous | January 7, 2009 5:24 PM

"Why would I buy a presale iTunes album download when I can just buy the download the day it's released?"

You wouldn't, and that's why you won't be eligible for the presale like I will because I don't give a shit when I buy it.

Posted by Anonymous | January 7, 2009 5:25 PM

What's the presale code???

Posted by astralgirl01 | January 7, 2009 5:29 PM

"What's the presale code???"

keep trying to figure that out while I'm buying my tickets

Posted by Darwin | January 7, 2009 5:31 PM

75 dollar ticket is the password

Posted by Anonymous | January 7, 2009 6:29 PM

This is a joke - the album is already online for free.

So I guess there's no way to avoid the presale, not even for Webster Hall. At least it'll be less expensive than Craigslist, haha.

Posted by Markus | January 7, 2009 8:05 PM

Nice little merchandising promotion there, Morrissey.

A-list, Playlist
Presale them! Presale them!
Presale them!
Sadly this was your life...

Posted by Anonymous | January 7, 2009 8:13 PM

I wish you hadn't posted this so that people that actually had a clue would have had a higher chance of getting tickets.

Thanks BV.

Posted by Anonymous | January 7, 2009 10:25 PM

We will all never get tickets

Posted by Dooder City | January 7, 2009 10:52 PM

Once again, I will have tickets for all 3 Moz nyc shows. Want them? Email: steven@clixtix.com

Posted by stephenkv. | January 8, 2009 9:30 AM

Well, that presale was a fucking joke!

Posted by Anonymous | January 8, 2009 10:02 AM

Posted by Anonymous | January 8, 2009 10:04 AM

Posted by Anonymous | January 8, 2009 10:04 AM

I got 2 to Bowery and Webster.

Posted by Anonymous | January 8, 2009 10:05 AM

Posted by Anonymous | January 8, 2009 10:05 AM

Already sold out!

Damn it.
What a crappy day.

Posted by Markus | January 8, 2009 10:05 AM

Grr...

Posted by Anonymous | January 8, 2009 10:07 AM

Got my Webster Hall ticket. Easier than I expected even though I had to throw away the extra 10...

Posted by q | January 8, 2009 10:08 AM

And Carnegie Hall will be seating only? Shit.

Maybe I should try Montclair, but I don't have a clue if you can get back at night.

Posted by Markus | January 8, 2009 10:09 AM

Agreed with 10:04... what was up with the verification? How do they expect you to type two sets of fractions AND decimal-pointed number sets, then enter some fuzzy gibberish words in less than 30 seconds?

BULLSHIT presale-- and yes, I understand they only have a very small amount of tickets-- but how does it sell out in ONE minute?

Posted by astralgirl01 | January 8, 2009 10:11 AM

ouch!

Posted by Anonymous | January 8, 2009 10:11 AM

If anyone has got one ticket left for Webster Hall, please tell me. I pay 100 Dollar.

Posted by Markus | January 8, 2009 10:12 AM

Webster was pretty smooth.
Had a coworker trying to nab bowery for me, she landed them then the TM site kicked her out. D'oh.

Posted by last of the gang | January 8, 2009 10:12 AM

Just try again tomorrow Mr. Markus.

Posted by Anonymous | January 8, 2009 10:13 AM

forces of ticketmaster, they shoved their fat faces into my order and scrrrrewed it up. yay.

Posted by EF Matt | January 8, 2009 10:14 AM

@ 10.12:

Did they only sell a certain amount of tickets today, or why do you say that?

Posted by Markus | January 8, 2009 10:14 AM

"Did they only sell a certain amount of tickets today"

presale = before the regular sale starts

Posted by Anonymous | January 8, 2009 10:13 AM

Nope. $160

Posted by stephenkv. | January 8, 2009 10:21 AM

Got Webster no problem. Nasty captcha for Bowery for me too. Dollar sign, comman, decimal? Screw you TM.

Oh well, there's always tomorrow for Bowery.

Posted by Anonymous | January 8, 2009 10:23 AM

save your money... $75+fees is too risky to see moz. His shows are waaaay to hit or miss (usually miss). I know it's tempting to see him at bowery, but really... you're going to end up paying almost $100/ea when all is said and done.

Posted by wembley | January 8, 2009 10:34 AM

^^^ Thanks dad

Posted by Anonymous | January 8, 2009 10:36 AM

i don't see bowery being scalped anywhere?

Posted by Anonymous | January 8, 2009 10:39 AM

Posted by Anonymous | January 8, 2009 10:50 AM

the company i work for is one of those "scalper sites" with access to every brokers inventory across the country, so no, you wont find anything cheaper right now. the only reason im posting on here is because i know brokers that are and have already sold tickets for $300+ and Id rather some people on here not have to pay that much.

Posted by stephenkv. | January 8, 2009 10:53 AM

you can get them for less on ebay right now

Posted by Anonymous | January 8, 2009 10:58 AM

you can bid for less, thats true, find a buy it now for less though, and i say go for it sunshine!

Posted by stephenkv. | January 8, 2009 11:03 AM

Hey stephenkv, what are you gonna do with that extra money you make from selling your tix? buy a buttplug, use it and then stick it in your mouth?

Stop shilling your wares here! Hey Brooklyn Vegan, is there anyway you can get rid of this assclown's comments?

Posted by Anonymous | January 8, 2009 11:14 AM

Posted by Anonymous | January 8, 2009 12:32 PM

Listen up fancy boys and idiots

"i don't see bowery being scalped anywhere?"

Yeah genius because they put about 5 tickets(if that at all) on the presale for Bowery. Why do you think it was so easy to get Webster today. Because no one gave a shit about that show and that is where most of the presale went to. The guy above who said he got Bowery tickets is lying through his teeth. The majority of Bowery tickets go on sale tomorrow. Relax.
Of course there are always going to be pond scum like Stephen whose company probably paid Bowery a nice lil bounty under the table to get some tickets before they went on sale. It sucks but that is the concert business.

"I have one ticket for Animal Collective Bowery
to trade for one Moz at Bowery"

Yeah good luck with that one. No one is going to make that trade and i flagged your craigslist ad for it just because it is such a lame attempt.

Posted by Anonymous | January 8, 2009 12:38 PM

Well said....tomorrow just be happy to get tickets for either show. Seeing Moz is still a good time regardless of where you're seeing him.

Posted by Anonymous | January 8, 2009 1:11 PM

12:38 - what makes you such an authority about this?

Posted by Anonymous | January 8, 2009 1:19 PM

how did you all get webster? did you go there first instead of bowery?

Posted by Anonymous | January 8, 2009 1:23 PM

You people in here complain about everything constantly. Leave your computers, cellphones and sidekicks for once and enjoy the real world instead of fighting with anonymous people via a comment post.

Posted by Anonymous | January 8, 2009 1:29 PM

@ 12.38

"Why do you think it was so easy to get Webster today."

It wasn't "easy" -- it was sold out after one minute. I think many people didn't get Webster though they tried it. It's still a matter of luck if you get a ticket or not, especially since all the people who got tickets today are trying to get some tomorrow as well. Plus people like stephenkv. I just hope that there'll be at least a realistic chance for Webster Hall. I'm really nervous.

Posted by Markus | January 8, 2009 1:36 PM

I was too busy posting on BV and missed tickets!

Posted by Anonymous | January 8, 2009 2:00 PM

It's fascinating how much buzz is being generated just cause of the venues and cause of Bowery's influence. He played, what was it, five nights in a row in '07 at Hammersmith and no one made a fuss or called them potentially legendary. They certainly didn't sell out in a minute... think y'all might be suckers...

Posted by Anonymous | January 8, 2009 2:03 PM

It's always nice when the scalpers try to show you some love @ 2 bills a pop, phuck off douche bag....here's to hoping you sorry phucks at your "company": read bedroom get eaten alive by this economy like no other, as I'd rather you crawl in a hole and perish...yeh, I said it...my first opportunity to wish ill on someone in '09...and no I don't think you have a right to make a living, just one to eat excrement and die

2:03, it was undersold nights at the rather-large Hammerstein versus the intimate club feel of Bowery and Webster, that's what has folks excited and clamoring

Posted by Anonymous | January 8, 2009 2:54 PM

Um Anon 2:03, Bowery Ballroom is like 1/4 of the size of Hammerstein and I saw him those shows - all amazing!

To be that close to Morrissey is worth $75 to a lot of people. Not that strange of a concept.

Posted by spielster | January 8, 2009 2:58 PM

I wish he did 5 at the Hammerstein again..tickets were going for nothing day of show!

Posted by Anonymous | January 8, 2009 2:58 PM

Does anyone know anything about this posted in the comments section of the Phish story? Supposedly inside scoop on Coachella:

Not sure who plays what night...but they actually have one night with Blur and Oasis (co-headlining), Morrissey solo set with Johnny Marr to join for a Smiths set, and U2 headlining a night (first show of their new tour!).

Posted by Anonymous | January 8, 2009 3:05 PM

3:05 I wouldn't believe that for one second!

Posted by Anonymous | January 8, 2009 3:10 PM

I dont believe the Morrissey/ Marr rumor at all...but I was told over the weekend that U2 are confirmed by a good source which shocked the shit out of me. And im sure Blur and Oasis would agree to play on same night...think i read recently Noel saying good things about Blur and Damon Albarn. Just who would play first???

Posted by Anonymous | January 8, 2009 3:14 PM

If U2 are headlining instead of Morrissey I want my money back. I can't stand Bono.

Posted by Markus | January 8, 2009 3:38 PM

u bitches complain about everything. imagine every Morrissey fan in NYC and CT trying to get into the Bowery, Webster Hall and Carnegie Hall at the same time. don't you think that's why this is selling out/will sell out so fast?
just pray that tomorrow you get a ticket, if not play the dam CD and stop whining like school girls

Posted by Anonymous | January 8, 2009 3:38 PM

I saw him last year and thought his live show was rather dull, kind of a greatest hits show.

Posted by Lori | January 8, 2009 6:36 PM

Johnny Marr >>>>>>> Morrissey

Posted by Anonymous | January 8, 2009 7:05 PM

I wonder if he will play "This Charming Man"? Grat tune.

Posted by Anonymous | January 8, 2009 8:46 PM
