Femi Kuti postpones some tour dates (including NYC)
"Due to illness, Afrobeat legend Femi Kuti has postponed the first leg of his U.S. tour in support of his new album Day By Day. Set to kick off on January 7th in Boston, MA, the tour will now commence on January 14th in Montreal, QC with the scheduled Boston, New York, Washington DC, and Philadelphia shows postponed to a later date. Watch this space for announcements regarding the rescheduling of these east coast shows."That also means he's completely cancelling his appearance at globalFEST which is taking place (with or without him) January 11th at Webster Hall. No new venue or date for his other NYC show yet, but the revised tour schedule is below...

Where can i get the info when they set the date to reschedule?
I have tickets and have not received any notification that the show is cancelled.
If i didn't see it here, i would have went to the show!

Femi's show in Toronto just got cancelled. I received a phone call from Ticketmaster to that effect.
It would have been great!

From ticketmaster website:
"**THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED**
Any tickets purchased by Ticketmaster Charge-By-Phone or Ticketmaster.com will be automatically credited back to the card used to order them. All tickets purchased at the box office or a Ticketmaster Ticket Center must be returned to the point of purchase to receive a refund."

Uhh.. yeah I love how Ticketmaster still keeps some fee even after the refund.. those rat bastards!
