Thank god the Bowery Ballroom is priced at what it should be and that it's 21+. Less scalpers, kids and poor people means a better chance of me scoring a pair.

$75!!!!! lordy. im seeing him in richmond for less than half of that. for the first time ever i think im thankful i go to school in the south

Posted by Anonymous | January 5, 2009 7:25 PM

Whoah...that's a great tat.

Anyhow, are $75 tickets going to magically turn into $25 tickets like the last time he was in town?

Posted by Anonymous | January 5, 2009 7:29 PM

I will bet you $75 that those $75 Bowery Ballroom tickets sell out in less than a second and go for double that on Craigslist.

Carnegie Hall is $75, and all ages:

"$75!!!!! lordy. im seeing him in richmond for less than half of that. for the first time ever i think im thankful i go to school in the south"

Dear person from the south, Bowery Ballroom only holds 600 New Yorkers. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to see Morrissey headline the same venue bands like Passion Pit and Frigtened Rabbit play.

"Anyhow, are $75 tickets going to magically turn into $25 tickets like the last time he was in town?"'

that was a much bigger venue for many more nights.

Have NYC kids figured out a way to commute to Wellmont? Getting there seems easy, coming back after the show, not so much.

Posted by Anonymous | January 5, 2009 7:49 PM

dear person who wrongly assumes im from the south just because i go to school there (im from here, otherwise why would i be commenting on an nyc blog),

morrissey is headling the national in richmond, with close to only double the capacity (most of it being in the balcony) of bowery ballroom. great sightlines and sound, and it actually feels small. its smaller than webster hall. and it costs half as much as the bowery show you'll be at. just saying.

When It's announced that these are actually Smiths post coachella reunion shows and tix go for $500 you'll be glad you snatched em up at a bargain price of $75!

Oops, did I just say that???

Posted by anon | January 5, 2009 8:02 PM

"Oops, did I just say that???"

yes, but nobody believes you

Posted by Anonymous | January 5, 2009 8:06 PM

hahahahah, 8:02

Posted by Anonymous | January 5, 2009 8:09 PM

he's gonna do a late nite set at mercury lounge on 3/25 for fans

Ugly Tat.

I wonder what kind of bush situation she has going on, in which case the tattoo probably comes in handy in order to deflect attention.

Posted by Zach | January 5, 2009 8:16 PM

I'd hit it

Posted by Anonymous | January 5, 2009 8:30 PM

birth control tat

Posted by Anonymous | January 5, 2009 8:31 PM

i already hit that. she has a tattoo on her vagina also.

Posted by Anonymous | January 5, 2009 8:36 PM

8:02

coachella is in april. these shows are in march.

Posted by Anonymous | January 5, 2009 8:38 PM

Morrissey is so disappointing.

That new album is up online already and it's totally forgettable.

Posted by Whatever | January 5, 2009 8:56 PM

Hourglass, people, hourglass. Never should've gone out of style.

Posted by Tito | January 5, 2009 8:58 PM

she has a tat right above her vagina too. fucking hot

Posted by Anonymous | January 5, 2009 9:07 PM

i came right on her tattoo the other night.

Posted by Anonymous | January 5, 2009 9:20 PM

Way to keep it classy, guys - you never let me down.

Posted by Anonymous | January 5, 2009 9:31 PM

Blame the Vegan. He sets it up. We just knock it down.

Posted by Anonymous | January 5, 2009 9:44 PM

"I will bet you $75 that those $75 Bowery Ballroom tickets sell out in less than a second and go for double that on Craigslist."

how about triple

Posted by Anonymous | January 5, 2009 9:46 PM

with a tat like that nobody will ever really "love" you...

Posted by Anonymous | January 5, 2009 9:50 PM

Has he *ever* played anywhere near as small as BB in the US? The $75 seems justified in that way, though you know the audience will be all crazies. They'll have to put some sort of security barrier in front of the stage for this one. Else it will be a stream of constant hug attacks.

Posted by bill p | January 5, 2009 9:58 PM

75 bucks? At least I've got 4 days to calculate if I can afford that!

Posted by dee | January 5, 2009 10:38 PM

the tickets will go for quadruple on craigslist

Posted by Anonymous | January 5, 2009 11:01 PM

There was nothing wrong with that lady's front side until she got a tattoo. (I'm assuming it's real).

Some of these posts prove a point: Only fags are into tattoos because they sure aren't into the body on which they are applied.

Don't guild the lily, kids... it looks like crap!

Posted by TAKE FO' | January 6, 2009 12:59 AM

take fo' called the shit, crap.

take fo' called the shit, crap.

The whining on here at 12:02pm Friday is going to be entertaining., even if I'm not lucky enough to grab a pair (cough).

Posted by dave | January 6, 2009 8:38 AM

Last night I dreamt that somebody ass-fucked me

Posted by Anonymous | January 6, 2009 9:20 AM

I don't think I like your tone.

And you misspelled "gild".

Posted by a fag | January 6, 2009 11:10 AM

Where can you find the other pics? Hot!!!

Posted by Anonymous | January 6, 2009 11:32 AM

Make em $150 face restrict entrance to 30 years and older, would level the playing field abit for fans vs scalpers, and the kiddies can go to Jersey.

Posted by B | January 6, 2009 1:14 PM

Sure because you have to be over 30 and from NY to be a fan! (Sarcasm)

Posted by Anonymous | January 6, 2009 1:35 PM

What an ugly tattoo. I'm sorry you did that to yourself.

Posted by m | January 6, 2009 2:05 PM

I'd love to go to the Bowery Ballroom show, but there is one matter of legitimate concern. The stage is pretty accessible to fans at BB. If too many fans rush the stage to give Moz a hug, Moz is likely to prematurely end the show. Believe me, I've seen it happen more than once.

Decisions. Decisions.

Posted by Anonymous | January 6, 2009 2:17 PM

I have that same tattoo. Except it says "Last night I dreamt that someone fingerbanged me."

The smart move: buy the tickets for BB if you can. Then scalp them to the droolers if you don't feel like attending.

His show is quite ridiculous now: At Hammerstein last year there were full-on five-minute drum solos. And gongs. Yeah, gongs. It was the full retard.

Posted by Anonymous | January 6, 2009 3:59 PM

Even high demand GA shows are hard to capitalize on as a scalper. Especially at the $75+$15 Ticketmaster charge. When all these shows do sell out quickly, how much would the shutout person pay to see a show? $125 at most. Pretty small profit when yer potentially stuck with $90 worth of tickets if the demand isn't as strong as we all think.
That being said. Carnegie Hall should be reserved seating. If you can land something in say the first ten rows center.. gold jerry, gold.

lame!!!

Posted by Anonymous | January 7, 2009 12:06 AM

Looks like there is a presale tomorrow starting at 10AM so bye-bye Bowery. Any ideas on who is doing the presale or how we get codes??

Posted by Rachel | January 7, 2009 8:16 AM

As far as I can tell, the pre-sale tix are not for the NYC shows. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Although the actual tickets page says something about a pre-sale. Someone can sort this out for us?

Posted by Count Raffulon | January 7, 2009 11:22 AM

I hope there is a presale for Bowery, but given that there is a two ticket limit I doubt it will happen.
Great to hear the show is 21+ Can't decide whether I want to do Bowery or Wellmont, has anyone been there to the latter?

Posted by Anonymous | January 7, 2009 11:33 AM

Wellmont is decent but is a larger venue then Webster, Bowery. Transportation to the Wellmont isn't easy unless you have a car!

Posted by Anonymous | January 7, 2009 11:34 AM

Wellmount wil be a GA show and not seated

Posted by Anonymous | January 7, 2009 12:03 PM

Is the Balcony GA too at Wellmont?

Posted by Anonymous | January 7, 2009 12:12 PM

yes, 12:12

Posted by tp | January 7, 2009 12:38 PM

Thanks!

Posted by Anonymous | January 7, 2009 12:49 PM

It also offers complimentary shuttle service to and from Path station.

Posted by Anonymous | January 7, 2009 1:05 PM

I am from NJ and close to Montclair but never been to the Wellmont Theatre, wonder what's the size compared to Webster Hall or Bowery

Posted by Anonymous | January 7, 2009 1:07 PM

Wellmont Theatre holds about 2000..Bowery holds 550 and Webster Hall holds 1400..

Its called google.com

Posted by Anonymous | January 7, 2009 1:23 PM

I bet that chick is a psychobitch.

Posted by Anonymous | January 7, 2009 11:52 PM

so on top of the steep 75 buck tix, not including the ticketdouche fees, you have to purchase the iTunes 10 buck CD? I already got the CD 2 nights ago. Not too bad, but I am passing on seeing him this time around. 75 bucks is just ridiculous. Saw him at Hammerstein after he failed to sell out his 4 or 5 night residency, and the originally $60 tickets were on sale for 2 of the nights @ 25 bucks. Thank god I did, cause I ain't paying him anything more than 50, no matter how much I love the guy. Seen him several times in the NYC area since 1990 and the best was him on the last tour.

Posted by Anonymous | January 8, 2009 11:17 AM

I can't buy tickets!! Are they really sold out already????? I am going to die of I can't see this show! I started trying at 11am on the dot. Does anyone know?? They are already advertised on other websites for $200something to $400. HELP!!!!
