In an A sexual kind of way.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 10:50 AM

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 11:04 AM

I wouldn't have been able to buy them anyway, but I was gonna try and see how difficult it was, Bowery one seems impossible!

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 11:04 AM

things like this should be box office only.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 11:05 AM

Carnegie Hall isn't even up yet.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 11:05 AM

whats the deal for carnegie

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 11:06 AM

Got two for Bowery thru AMEX offer!

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 11:07 AM

Instead of having an on-sale for bowery they should've wrote we decided just to give the tickets directly to the brokers this time around.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 11:07 AM

fuck all of you who got bowery

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 11:08 AM

Yesssss!

One for Webster Hall.

Posted by Markus | January 9, 2009 11:08 AM

Funnily enough, both "Maher" (the original spelling of Marr's last name before he changed it) and "Rossiter" (Martin, singer from Gene) were security questions.

This can only mean Smiths reunion with Gene opening.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 11:09 AM

congrats to all ticketholding fans

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 11:09 AM

i am trying to call CArnegie and the phone lines are just not working

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 11:13 AM

Looks like whoever went down to the Carnegie box office is gonna come out of this with really good tickets.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 11:14 AM

this is so funny there must be an elderly man at Carnegie with no idea why the phones are ringing off the hook..

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 11:14 AM

Adult GENFLR ADM 769 $53.00 $12.50 $65.50

Posted by brooklynvegan | January 9, 2009 11:17 AM

funny how a year ago everybody laughed at the residency at Hammerstein, and now only because he is playing Bowery and Webster Hall everybody is running like headless chickens trying to get tickets even for the bigger Carnegie Hall.
Can't say he doesn't know how to market his shows

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 11:18 AM

27 tickets on stubhub within 15 minutes of it going on sale. the fact that they get get away with that is disgusting.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 11:18 AM

1 Bowery, 2 Webster

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 11:18 AM

i'm going to sell mine for $600 (pair) and someone will pay me for it too. Capitalism rules!

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 11:20 AM

Wellmont will take awhile to sell out!

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 11:20 AM

oops. forgot about this. Bowery and Webster both seem sold out.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 11:20 AM

Any word from Carnegie?

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 11:21 AM

Carnegie Hall is smaller then Hammerstein. It's a sit-down venue. And it's fancy.

Why not?

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 11:21 AM

what happened with wellmont?

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 11:21 AM

"This can only mean Smiths reunion with Gene opening."

ha!

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 11:22 AM

nothing on carnegie yet

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 11:22 AM

Did anyone get Carnegie tix? I never even saw a link. Got Webster Hall no problem. Bowery no dice....Someone know anything about Carnegie? Moz and Courteeneers must see twice! Courteeners are great! Finally Moz with a good opener!

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 11:22 AM

i was redialing carnegie for 11 minutes straight before i got through. now i've been on hold for 10 minutes. not encouraging.

Posted by j | January 9, 2009 11:23 AM

i'm going to lunch, it will be amusing reading the rants posted when i come back in an hour
keep whining kids!

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 11:24 AM

"this is so funny there must be an elderly man at Carnegie with no idea why the phones are ringing off the hook.."

and the idiot of the day award goes to...

Posted by danidin | January 9, 2009 11:24 AM

Been trying for Carnegie straight since 10:59. At 10:59 I got the "Morrissey tix will go on sale at 11:00," since then busy signals. And nothing on their website...

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 11:24 AM

the new CD is quite good
enjoy those of you who got tickets!

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 11:26 AM

FUCK@!#Q$!@%R#Q@$Q#@$QW#$QWER

Posted by !@#!@##@#!$@ | January 9, 2009 11:27 AM

I was able to get Webster tix. I had my wife and my brother in law also on computers next to me, no luck with the Bowery, it was to be expected though, right?

Anyway, I hope you all get tix and hopefully I can manage a Carnagie ticket. The place has amazing acoustics.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 11:27 AM

Got 2 Bowery via AMEX offer at 11:01ish after getting rejected the regular way

Posted by rascalnikov | January 9, 2009 11:28 AM

Posted by danidin | January 9, 2009 11:28 AM

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 11:28 AM

Got my Wellmont tix too - thanks

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 11:29 AM

"no one pays double face no more"

Have you met Morrissey fans?

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 11:30 AM

did any bowery tickets even actually go on sale today, or were they sold out already in the pre-sale?

fuck fuck fuck.

Posted by cranky | January 9, 2009 11:30 AM

best way to get to Monclair is driving, plenty of public parking and will be easier to get tickets for

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 11:30 AM

hey Danidin---why such an a-hole!? huh? loser.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 11:31 AM

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 11:31 AM

Laugh all you want. Someone will pay $600 for 2 tickets at the Bowery. You know this and so do I.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 11:31 AM

finally... 2 in row q at carnegie. only took 32 minutes!

Posted by j | January 9, 2009 11:32 AM

Most tickets on stub hub are only around 200ish, which really isn't all that much money considering he's like a god to most of you. Tickets should of been that much to begin with.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 11:34 AM

Never doubt a Morrissey fan. I only respect people who value Marr more.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 11:35 AM

this is such bullshit
i was ready and on point
i dont understand how i got soo fucked
i mean, i knnow
its moz
but still

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 11:36 AM

danidin is right, i'm doing it for living
and scalping has gone completly under,
people don't have the money to pay double and
triple face, and even if they do have it they
don't wanna spend it anymore.

besides of course all of you NYU / BV hipster kids
who get your cash from papi.

Posted by anon | January 9, 2009 11:37 AM

Just keep trying over and over again at Carnegie. I just got two tickets about three minutes ago.

Posted by Josh | January 9, 2009 11:44 AM

On hold now for Carnegie after a constant busy signal. Anyone get thru yet?

Posted by Stephanie | January 9, 2009 11:46 AM

i'm on hold for ten minutes already

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 11:47 AM

try the website too

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 11:49 AM

just bought tickets online for carnegie. got my webster hall at 11:03 & bowery tickets presale.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 11:49 AM

i am trying the site, but for shitty box seats i'd rather go to Wellmont

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 11:50 AM

Carnegie Hall is 3,000 people. Approx the same size as Hammerstein.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 11:50 AM

Does anyone have some insider info on StubHub
How can they have so many tickets for sale for Bowery?
Do they have a network of theives?
Like Apartment brokers?

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 11:51 AM

"i HATE ticketmaster!"

Can you imagine if this the on sale was done on a less robust website though?

Posted by CN | January 9, 2009 11:55 AM

just got through on carnegie's site.......and got really crappy seats

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 11:55 AM

Stub Hub simply connects buyers and sellers. They do not have any tickets themselves. It is just a middle man...like ebay.

Posted by CN | January 9, 2009 11:56 AM

bowery seemed impossible, but the resale is not that bad, oddly......i swallowed it and paid double face for a pair

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 11:57 AM

Extrawack blog had some side door link to carnegie...got 8th row. Shoplifters of the world unite!

Posted by kelly | January 9, 2009 11:57 AM

yeah, just got thru to Carnegie on the phone... the only floor seats left were Row Z. no First Tier left, Second Tier only ones were obstructed view. blah.

Posted by EF Matt | January 9, 2009 11:58 AM

just got off the phone with Carnegie, floor is sold out and only have left single tickets throughout the boxes
i decided to not buy
good luck guys!

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 11:59 AM

Carnegie Hall is 2900
Hammerstein is 3500

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 12:00 PM

damn

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 12:03 PM

Wow that was a good morning. This was a corker. I can tell you that my foolproof ticket getting system had more trouble than it ever has had before. So that tells you how difficult it was to get Bowery Ballroom. But it still came through and i got 2 tickets. And don't ask, I am not telling you what the system is and believe me you have no idea. It has never failed me yet.

So my question for you guys is which service should I use to sell one of the tickets

Craigslist at best offer
Stub Hub
or
Ebay?

For Animal Collective at Bowery I got 250 off Craigslist but I am sure I can get more for this one as we all know that Bowery is really the show to be at for this.

Also, they really must have sold the bulk of the tickets for Bowery to scalpers pre sale date. M<ost of you stuck out should really complain and harrass Bowery Presents for this.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 12:06 PM

kelly, nice ad.

Carnegie is sold out all the way up to the balcony. I was on hold for about 20 minutes. balcony are still avail.

yeah, no one will pay double face for ticks. NOT

Posted by stephanie | January 9, 2009 12:08 PM

Wellmont on the floor is pretty intimate.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 12:10 PM

to the person with the "foolproof" system looking for advice on how best to resell your tickets: fuck off.

really.

fuck right off.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 12:14 PM

12:06--interesting that you somehow differentiate between yourself and so-called "scalpers." why not sell your ticket at face value if, in fact, you claim to be otherwise?

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 12:16 PM

In the spring of 2007, New York did away with anti-scalping laws. You can do what you please once you buy the tickets. Good luck to you all. My bank accounts grows......

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 12:18 PM

it's sad that you could be so petty. mocking people who really want to go see their favorite performer and yet can't afford to because of people like you. how sporting. you must lead a sad, small life. enjoy your riches.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 12:20 PM

Most morrissey fans should be pretty old and decently well off by now. 200 bucks per ticket is hardly obscene, and most should easily afford it.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 12:24 PM

there are still seats in the center balcony at carnegie if you go on the website... speaking from experience, you still get a good show and great acoustics from that height.

Posted by j | January 9, 2009 12:26 PM

JOHNNY FUCKING MARR!

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 12:38 PM

got 2 tix on the floor for wellmont. bowery would have been my first choice but i knew that would be a long shot! luckily i have access to a car. it's not mine, but i'd love to offer rides to 2 lucky passengers. i'm sure there will be folks on craigslist who can offer rides to non-driving ticketholders.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 12:41 PM

Anyone else going to the Bowery show? Besides scalpers? I'll be there with my Stone Roses shirt on.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 12:43 PM

"Anyone else going to the Bowery show? Besides scalpers? I'll be there with my Stone Roses shirt on."

you're that guy

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 12:52 PM

This is 12:08 here. I was not mocking anyone. I was sincerely asking which service you guys think i could get the most for one of my Bowery tickets. You can call me what you want but any of you would do the same thing. Shit, I worked long and hard to get this foolproof system and hey it pays off. I make no apologies for this. The one ticket i am selling will pay for the show for me plus a nice little bounty as well. Don't hate on me. Hate on Bowery for selling the bulk of the tickets to scalping agencies beforehand.

I tape a lot of shows as well. You can find me usually in the middle of Bowery, Mercury etc with mics attached to fake glasses. Maybe if you guys are lucky I will put up the Bowery show on archive.org

It is looking like I will probably get around 300 to 400 for this ticket. The dandy boys are shelling out for this.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 12:53 PM

I had no problems getting Bowery tickets. Of course, my credit card was already in the system.

Any openers?

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 12:54 PM

I'm going to give away my Bowery tix to friends who are long-time fans. It's just a concert, what's the big deal?

Posted by drewo | January 9, 2009 1:03 PM

I was very fired up to be one of the few who seem to have gotten Bowery tickets. Unlike, that Stone Roses guy, I'll be in my Verve circa 1993 t-shirt.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 1:20 PM

THIS is crazy---> On a whim, JUST minutes ago I tried getting a Bowery ticket----AND I DID!!! THAT is weird!!!!! WOOOO HOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Posted by Rajah of Rehab | January 9, 2009 1:38 PM

12:08, you have blood on your hands. you are not justified.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 1:50 PM

sure you did rajah you fucking lying moron

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 1:52 PM

Anonymous that's selling the bowery ticket and asking for advice:
I'd go with eBay if I were you... more secure, more reach.

Oh, I hate you, by the way.

I think what made stuff even MORE difficult for the Bowery was the AmEx presale, that means a good chunk of tickets were set apart for that sale ONLY. I was there at 11:00:01 and couldn't get through with the general tickets.

Posted by dee | January 9, 2009 2:13 PM

I don't get it. Why am I a fucking lying moron?? What good does it do me to lie about something like this??? I tried for the hell of it and I couldn't have been more surprised. Maybe it could happen to someone else, that's why I posted about it. You must be a real joy to your friends, asshole. Sorry I ruined your day.

Posted by Rajah of Rehab | January 9, 2009 2:26 PM

I tried the amex presale right at 11:00 and got shut out for both..had to resort to stubhub for Bowery.

"I think what made stuff even MORE difficult for the Bowery was the AmEx presale, that means a good chunk of tickets were set apart for that sale ONLY. I was there at 11:00:01 and couldn't get through with the general tickets."

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 2:34 PM

Rajah
Easy answer to why you would lie. You did it cause you were trying to be funny and rile up the poor slobs who could not get tickets,. Hoping that your post would make them all run to ticketmaster and try to get tickets. Cause you are a worthless idiot with no life. People have been trying for hours for tickets that were sold out within 2 seconds of sale. But you majically happen to get one hours later and run here to post about it with your loud caps WOO HOOing. Dude you are a jackass and a transparent one at that. Go away.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 2:52 PM

I love The Smiths. But Morrissey is pretty pathetic these days. Cut Copy will be a better show on 3/21.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 3:15 PM

its certainly a possibility rajah was not lying. sometimes if a transaction is rejected those tickets go back on sale, that is how tickets might have come up after they were sold out.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 3:16 PM

Cut Copy is garbage for hipster twats.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 3:29 PM

Morriseey is garbage for aged hispter a-sexuals.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 3:31 PM

I bet Morrissey has sex listening to Cut Copy.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 3:36 PM

King of insecure assholes!

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 3:45 PM

"Morriseey is garbage for aged hispter a-sexuals."

So if that's your opinion and yet, you're posting on a thread about a Morrissey show what does that make you?

A crack whore who sucks cock near the West Side Highway?

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 3:47 PM

"So if that's your opinion and yet, you're posting on a thread about a Morrissey show what does that make you? A crack whore who sucks cock near the West Side Highway?"

LOL! Absolutely! But with 4 Morrissey tickets at my scalping disposal!

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 3:52 PM

"LOL! Absolutely! But with 4 Morrissey tickets at my scalping disposal!"

And? We had a few friends go on and would up with eight.

What's your point?

It's okay to suck cock if you have Moz tix?

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 3:56 PM

"It's okay to suck cock if you have Moz tix?"

Sure, give it a try.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 4:19 PM

11:18 - Thank you, that's what I was saying yesterday. Yes they're better venues, but it's the interest has skyrocketed disproportionatally...

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 5:59 PM

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet. I got 2 tickets and none of you did. Now I can enjoy this show without all the bellyaching from you bitches.

Posted by Anonymous | January 9, 2009 6:22 PM

It is great to be able to avoid this rush to buy tickets. I much prefer to actually work at 11 am, and then just pay the double face to the poor kid who paid face up front. To me, it's charity work, or "spreading the wealth around". Either way, I'm going to see Morrisey at Bowery, and that poor kid has some rent money.

America is Good.

Posted by Matt | January 9, 2009 10:11 PM
