Over-rated today, under-rated a decade from now.

So, y'know, it all evens out.

grrrr... Grizzly Bear arrangements at BAM -- should be fun.

anon@4:16

it's not indie rock, deal with it.

anon@4:28,

maybe the reason i think it sucks isnt because its not indie rock. i like music in this genre. i just dont particularly enjoy self indulgent sound collages of things like coffee machine noises.

Posted by Anonymous | January 8, 2009 4:33 PM

yeah right. he sucks.

so we should ignore the praises of bjork, phillip glass, and antony.

@4:33 and other naysayers...

i actually think it's quite nice.

id see the live experience before judging him. we're all entitled to our opinions, but i think you need to see the full picture before passing judgement. if you enjoy this 'type' of music generally, then there's no doubt that ull enjoy his arrangements live.

nico's work is really thoughtful.

the grizzly bear bam show with nico is going to be fucking amazing.

Yeah, I really want to like his music, but his albums bore me.

I loved the orchestra at Antony & the Johnson's BAM & Apollo shows... so I guess I can give him credit for swell arrangements.

But his albums are boring.

He is super hot though. So I'll at least give him that much.

The LC series has a couple other interesting concerts, like Dean & Britta scoring Andy Warhol films, could be interesting.
