The Thermals stomped and stepped on it last night, leaving it for dead on the side of the road. Maybe they didn't quite kill it - but it was a good show.
The new songs sounded solid alongside the oldies - in fact, they sounded much the same. Not a bad thing. A few covers including Nirvana and (maybe) a 90's song about "I'll be there"(?). The new drummer welded the beat and Kathy is always a joy to watch.
Bell House is a welcome addition to the rock club pantheon. A nice sized music room with good sound and not oversold (at least not last night). A separate bar area, also open to the public, with a good variety of beers and comfy chairs. The staff is also friendly, even offering to call a service car for those patrons who think they've wandered too far off the Brooklyn radar.

the staff brought those of us waiting in line in the frigid night cookies and hot chocolate. i think that was really thoughtful. good work, bell house!
pretty & nice = hot hot heat's eighth album.
third new song thermals played was a hit. don't remember what it was called.

very impressed by this venue. didn't think it would be too great but the show / space / employees were all real great.
will be going back to the bell house.

This band is amazing live so much energy and fun cant wait to see them again although id love it if they got a second guitar player to fill inthe live sound (id love to be the one). And what isent a better band than one that thrives on early 90's music covering nirvana and the breeders. So perfect! Posting videos to the covers shortly
