Paper Route were so shockingly bad. And Passion Pit weren't that much better to be honest. A total let down. His voice is a shambles on stage.

I have video up from this night (2/4) of a new Passion Pit song and sleepy head here: http://www.deafleftear.com/news/live-video-passion-pit-premier-new-song/

Did anyone see the special acoustic set Tom Yaps played in the basement late night after the Passion Pit show? All he used was 12 empty Tecate tall boys, 2 straws and 21 marciano cherries.

These guys are the classic coattails riders post MGMT, riding in to New York the "I can play a good hook on my Roland, let's layer that with a little punk, sprinkle in some falsetto and call ourselves a band." I thought they had pretty good energy (they better), and the song construction wasn't bad for how early they are in their career.

can someone explain the "Yaps" joke?

Too much buzz on Passion Pit. I came and thought Paper Route stole the show. Picked up their EP, not as good as their live show.

Paper Route was like a worse Taking Back Sunday.

Nope, Paper Route is not a christian band. And yes, they stole the show. I didn't like Passion Pit. I don't get the hype at all. Pass.

It is so sad to admit, but it is just another american rock band. Nothing special.
