Ratatat - 2009 Tour Dates (Terminal 5 again), a new 12" w/ an Animal Collective remix
Ratatat @ Terminal 5 in September (more by Leia Jospe)
Evan Mast, or E*vax, is an electronic music artist. He and his brother E*rock run the Audio Dregs record label. His first album, Parking Lot Music, was released on 04 April 2001. Mast's music is minimalist, using everyday sounds samples to create simple electronic beats. E*vax is half of Ratatat, a New York based indie/electronic band. He has released 7-inch singles on Static Caravan and Mold Recordings, along with Shudder To Think singer Craig Wedren. Evan used to work at Upoc. [Wikipedia]Animal Collective remixed Ratatat's song "Mirando". You can find the track on the b-side of a new Mirando 12" vinyl-only single that was released by XL Recordings this week.
Ratatat have some west coast dates lined in March and April, and Ratatat are playing Terminal 5 in NYC (again) on April 21st. Tickets for the east coast show go on Am Ex presale today at noon and then regular sale Friday.
