when are tickets available to the general public?

Tickets are on sale Friday at noon for the general public. Does anyone know if there will be an opener for the show? According to bowery, show starts at 6:30. That's too damn early. Then again so is selling these tickets in February.

these tickets have been on sale through TVOTR's site for like a week already.

they were on sale a week ago through the presale, which sold out in a day.

Let the flogging begin, but TV on the Radio is just not a very good live act. Love the albums but they're appearances on letterman and snl were cringe worthy. Their recent show at the masonic temple was really disappointing, especially Kips vocals which don't carry any weight live. Love their studio work but would be hesitant to see them again in concert.

Now there is another presale.
Then there will be the regular sale.

They have gotten all sorts of accolades b/c of Dear Science, but the long and short of it is, they don't reproduce nearly as well live. This flurry of interest will subside once all the new fans go see them, don't like it, and subsequently stop paying attention. I gather the buzz will last through the summer, then die down. Hope they're making some good coin now, at least. They deserve it.

music critics in general should focus less on records and more on live performance.

I thought they were terrific at Prospect Park a couple of years ago, but then again I might have been drunk.

reagardless of whether or not you like tovtr, snl, letterman, and the masonic temple are three of the worst-sounding places that a band can play. i didn't think sound could get any muddier than the warsaw, but apparently it can.

I've been lucky enough to see TVOTR a few times now (http://flickr.com/photos/ultrahi/tags/tvotr) and, yes, they sometimes come across as lacking in the flesh. However they played London end of last year and were spot on! Tight, dynamic, amazing showmanship and the new album is great live. So give them a go if you get the chance.
