dude Titus Andronicus is the most overhyped band ive ever heard. only a state like new jersey could ever be proud of them.... they got that one half decent song... which by the time they played made me fed up with the whole thing. had the campesinos not been next i would have walked out. the guys voice is just terrible...
Are bowery ballroom shows always filled with listless nyu kids wearing earplugs? who wears earplugs to a show ... ?? los campesinos were great.. and as part of going to live shows the ambiance is quite important... the crowd mostly was lame... there were a buncha kids in the front partying it up ... but couldnt get through to them till the end.

dude it wasnt even loud.. if you are concerned about your hearing you probably should be going to rock shows... nor stand like a total tool in the front of the crowd...
btw does the bowery always make the lights really bright? really annoying...

Welcome to brooklynvegan comment section. You sound like you're new to the scene, clueless and a complete tool. A lot of people like yourself comment here actually. It might get overcrowded at times, but Bowery Ballroom is only the best venue of its kind in the city.

I agree with 1:22. The show last night was great both bands put on an awesome show. Also I have been to dozens of shows at Bowery and it is and always has been one of the best venues in NYC. Last night like always the sounds was great.

If you go to shows six or seven nights a week, as I do, earplugs are a must. I don't want to go deaf. better yet, good earplugs (not that foamy crap used by construction workers) that reduce the volume by 15 to 20 decibels actually make shows sound better.
