Bankrate.com posted an interview of David Gilmour today (click on the "Anonymous" below). As if it's not strange enough that Bankrate.com interviewed David Gilmour, they conducted the interview "several weeks before [Rick] Wright's death" and they only posted it today.

Trail of Dead rocked. Nowhere near their legendary shows from 10 years ago supporting the Madonna album, but a lot better than some of the more recent shows. Never was a fan of the expanded lineup, but this show was great. Totally Natural is always their best live song, and they redid it, much longer than the original.
Cutest mosh pit for sure. Lots of lovely ladies dancing. Unfortunately, most of the crowd sucked. I yelled at a few typical CT/LI guys that if they were going to stand like statues, you might as well stay home. Then I pushed by them.

"I yelled at a few typical CT/LI guys that if they were going to stand like statues, you might as well stay home. Then I pushed by them."
You are a total douche. Just because people want to stand and listen to the band doesn't mean that they are typical anything. You're a typical idiot.

Trail of Dead is still garbage and their performance last night did nothing to change that. Ironic that fanboy 11:27 was screaming at CT/LI guys who weren't psyched, meanwhile their "pit" was populated with just that type of asshole. Pains of Being Pure At Heart was the only thing that made that show worth attending.

Pains of Being Pure At Heart were horrible.

I wouldn't call Pains of Being Pure At Heart horrible, I think mediocre is more like it.
First of all, why do they even have a bassist? He played nothing but root notes and had no stage presence. I hope they weren't paying him! Any decent keyboardist should just be playing those notes on a keyboard. Doesn't take much left-hand work to bust out quarter note root notes.
All their songs sounded the same. I love me some shoegaze, but the music lacked any punch.
ToD were great. I wouldn't call it a mosh pit either, it was a bunch of people just jumping around, not hitting like at a hardcore show.
