I saw Muse for $5 a couple years ago at one of my college's basketball courts (You either had to stand on the court or watch them from the bleachers) and it wasn't even the main court where the team played, just the smaller practice one. It wasn't that great. Have they upped their game or do they just rely on a lightshow to distract their audience?

Got tickets in the $30 section for U2. I am paying $25 less to see them in 2009 then 1997! Wow! I am shocked...

Posted by hahahhah | March 25, 2009 12:49 PM

Muse >>>>> U2

Posted by Anonymous | March 25, 2009 1:03 PM

Muse >>> Radiohead Animal Collective and Grizzly Bear combined with your biggest fantasy come true as the cherry on top

Posted by Anonymous | March 25, 2009 1:20 PM

you're insane mister
muse is god awful

Posted by Anonymous | March 25, 2009 1:44 PM

kinda hoping Muse get a good 60-90 min set to open. Force U2 to TRY, rather than go through the motions

Posted by Anonymous | March 25, 2009 2:16 PM

I guess the Muse gig will then be between Sept 20 - 24. Because they'd be playing at Boston and NJ on those dates... hell yeah!!!! Can't wait :D

Posted by Anonymous | March 25, 2009 2:18 PM

@ 11:59am

They also happened to fill MSG in Aug '07, and that show kicked ass...so...unless by "a couple years ago" you mean "10 years ago" when referencing the time you last saw them I can only suggest that you consider giving them another shot.

This band doesn't play the U.S. very often, do not miss them when they are here.

Oops! looks like all you tards forgot something very important -- Muse sucks dirty hole.

Posted by Anonymous | March 25, 2009 2:24 PM

i just threw up that muse was being discussed on this site...that shit sucks dick

Posted by Anonymous | March 25, 2009 2:41 PM

just got AnCo tix... surprised theyre not sold out

Posted by Anonymous | March 25, 2009 2:50 PM

If the U2 gig was in NYC, I'd consider going for Muse alone. But NJ = pain in the ass.

Posted by Anonymous | March 25, 2009 2:52 PM

oh damn...

Muse better have a headlining show around here at that time, because i really don't want to spend money on a U2 concert

Posted by Anonymous | March 25, 2009 3:02 PM

ew muse
-_- U2
AC yes

Posted by Anonymous | March 25, 2009 3:21 PM

Bellamy can out sing bono and out play the "edge" blindfolded. Though i have to admit, a u2 show is always entertaining. Trying for the $30 tix on mon.

Posted by Anonymous | March 25, 2009 3:50 PM

doesn't he just whine?
i wouldn't exactly call whining singing
how do you spell whine

Posted by Anonymous | March 25, 2009 3:58 PM

$55 for GA pit tix, not bad at all for u2.

Posted by Anonymous | March 25, 2009 4:02 PM

@ 3:02

The MUSE website says they will be "touring North America thus Autumn" so I would bet on being able to see them at MUSE prices and not U2 prices.

Also - the Boston opener is Snow Patrol I believe, so I wouldn't necessarily base any other NYC show around that 9/20 - 9/24 window.

@ 3:02 & Funderburgh

$30 for U2 AND Muse is the best deal you'll find for either anywhere

Posted by Anonymous | March 25, 2009 4:33 PM

AC would play in hipster doucheville, aka Brooklyn.

Posted by Anonymous | March 25, 2009 5:16 PM

u2 are cool, especially bono.

Posted by Anonymous | March 25, 2009 5:27 PM

Muse rocks.. great choice of an opener!

Posted by JP | March 26, 2009 12:00 AM

Two vastly overrated bands + Giants Stadium + $250 = i'm not going.

Posted by Anonymous | March 26, 2009 5:13 PM

I am only 22 years old and by far muse and + u2 are my favorite bands. I grew up on u2 because of my dad and loved them eversince. Got into muse about 6 years ago. I saw u2 on the elavation tour and muse in philly in 07. Muse is by far the best live show I have ever seen(They are considered the best live gig today). This is gonna be one hell of a concert. To all the muse haters, if you seem them live, you will have a totally different perspective.

Posted by tony | April 4, 2009 4:52 PM

Muse is considered to be the best live band today? Yea fuckin right.

Are you kidding me? Find me a credible source that says that.

Muse is playing a secret MTV VMA gig at the Walter Kerr theater on Sunday. WRXP has been giving away tickets, but haven't revealed the location.

It's definitely at the Walter Kerr Theater in Manhattan.
