UPDATE: I'm being warned that Just because Feist posted this poster, it doesn't mean it's definitely true...

Feist
Thanks Wembley for pointing out that Feist posted the above poster to her official website. It reveals that Grizzly Bear and David Byrne will most likely be performing at the just-officially-announced Dark Was the Night show at Radio City Music Hall. Why weren't they part of the initial announcement? Maybe because David Byrne has a show coming up at Wellmont Theater in NJ (tickets), and Grizzly Bear are playing two at Town Hall.

UPDATE: I am being told that the above additions to the lineup are not confirmed. If you don't see the lineup on Bowery Presents' website, it is not considered official. Keep that in mind when buying tickets ($38, $48, $58).

Grizzly Bear and The National are both also part of the lineup at this year's Pitchfork Festival in Chicago.

David Byrne just played two shows of his own at Radio City, and right after that he appeared on the Colbert Report. Videos from the TV appearance below...

I knew Feist couldn't keep a secret.

is 'feist' german for 'blabbermouth'?

FEIST IS IN TROUBLE!!!!

really excited about these two additions. Truth is, they will only be playing songs from the compilation I would assume, so I'm still planning on seeing both at their own respective shows.

:)

i'm sure they'll all play a little more than their dark was the night stuff. i HOPE at least

Posted by Anonymous | March 9, 2009 5:22 PM

why wouldn't it be My Morning Jacket instead of My Brightest Diamond. She's like a bad Bjork cover band.

Posted by wembley | March 9, 2009 5:25 PM

they have to! come on people. if all of these people played exclusively their dark was the night tracks, this would be like a 25 minute show. do you seriously think this will be a 25 minute show?

Posted by Anonymous | March 9, 2009 5:33 PM

Is this show a benefit?

Posted by Anonymous | March 9, 2009 6:01 PM

Would be too good to be true if they added Sufjan, Iron & Wine, Bon Iver, Beirut...more additions please!

Says the Amex and "Internet" presale start at the same time. I wonder which tickets will be better.

Posted by Anonymous | March 10, 2009 3:09 AM

this is cool...they used to do shit like this in the 60s/70s...no nukes concerts etc.

Oksana Baiul 4ever. Great champion. And the concert is a benefit, according to Pitchfork.

This would be 100x better if it was at carnegie or town hall. Radio city is ok, but it's like being in a huge cavern.
..Yeah, I'm not going to commit to this yet, the line-up is still up in the air afterall...

Chances that Byrne & Grizzly Bear never get confirmed?

Posted by Anonymous | March 11, 2009 5:27 PM

Very nice tickets in the internet pre-sale, and the password posted above worked.
