Gramercy Theatre losing the "Blender"?

Opened in 1937 as the Gramercy Park Theatre, a name it kept into at least the early 1950's. The Gramercy Theatre was recently used for the Museum of Modern Art's films. It was also the location shoot used in the Fugees video "Killing me Softly".People are saying that the Blender Theater at Gramercy is going back to being just the Gramercy Theatre again. This loss of sponsorship is supposedly happening very soon. The theatre was renamed "Blender" in April 2007 which was not long after the Live Nation concert venue opened for business.Since closing for movies it has re-opened in 2007 as the Blender Theatre at Gramercy, a concert venue operated by Live Nation. It's such a nice venue but it has never really taken off calendar-wise. Ever since it became sister venues with Irving - and ever since Irving had its line-up decimated by the Bowery Presents and Live Nation's piss-poor booking - this place has been too quiet. Live Nation is finally starting to slowly pick up in the calendar department but it would be nice if Bowery can put the kibosh on Terminal 5 and take over the Gramercy. I rather try to get in to a pair of Gramercy Shows than go to one Term 5 show. But alas, only in my dreams.

gramcery is like comparable or smaller than bowery. i dont know what you are talking about about bowery closing terminal 5 and replacing it with this.

I thought capacity at the Bowery was <600 while capacity hear is closer to 800. Saw IAMX show here and it ruled.
