Handsome Furs @ Mercury band on-sale.

so i was just wondering if anyone can explain this
just bought tix for grizzly bear
first time got row O orch
second time (more than 5 minutes later) got row B orchestra, after being offered loge, balcony, whatever, after many subsequent searches for more tickets. same with BAM tix going on sale again for their last show...
just curious

thom, had the same thing happen to me.
I had tix for both GB days through the amex presale and was looking to upgrade.
Got row B right away for the Thurs show, so snagged those. Then Fri wasn't looking good, but kept trying and got up to the 6th row when I was about to give up. So upgraded both days.

Cuse? why are you buying tickets for both nights? it's hard-core fans like you that ruin it for everyone! just go one day, it's enough!
Posted by why both days? | March 6, 2009 12:25 PM
Who says I'm going to both? (I sell them to friends, keeps my options open)
Posted by Cuse | March 6, 2009 12:30 PM
What's wrong with going to both shows? It's actually hardcore fans who help the most to keep the concert industry alive.

beware of possible bad sight lines on the sides of town hall.
antony shows had major probs due to speakers which completely obstructed my view. i was 5th row off to the Left. just saying, my peeps. stick to the middle

bummer. I shoulda reclicked. Got row S right at noon.
Should have re-searched I guess? I was happy to even be able to clicky at noon since I happened to be at my compooter. Oh well. At least it's center seats.
Posted by matt | March 6, 2009 1:25 PM
how are the sight lines from orch a 101?
Posted by bort | March 6, 2009 1:29 PM
funny thing with getting better tickets on a subsequent search. that's not how it's supposed to work...
i imagine the sightlines are only bad in the first five rows right at the outer edges. i didn't think there was a bad seat in the house when i was there for two nights of magnetic fields, once in the middle and once on the side. and the seats were too uncomfortable to fall asleep, which was clutch for those shows...

lot of people just jump on these sales to see if they can get tickets, without any intention of actually buying. keep that in mind.

What's the best way to go about off-loading (without markup) an extra set of orchestra tickets for the Friday night show?

@ 12:25
You're actually telling someone how many shows to see. What an asshole. Peeps can go as many times as they fucking want - it's called FREEDOM! you fascist pig!

FYI, seems they released some more tickets for both nights (as of April 3rd). Looks like Row N orch on both days, when these were up to the back of balcony days before. I checked out of curiosity even though I have tickets already, and snagged two in the front row (a month after these went on sale).
