Jenny Lewis @ the Apollo Theater (more by Chris La Putt)
Jenny Lewis

The previously announced Brooklyn show is just one date on a much larger tour Jenny Lewis will be undertaking this spring and summer.

Lewis is also proud to announce the forthcoming film "Welcome to Van Nuys." The documentary film records the making of Acid Tongue and features the live tracking of several songs from the record as well as behind-the-scenes, candid footage from the recording at Sound City Studio in Van Nuys, CA. The film will be released soon with screenings to be announced shortly.

In addition to her headline tour, Jenny will also be performing at this year's Coachella and Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festivals, as well as the Telluride Bluegrass Festival. She will also be playing her first-ever show in Hawaii on April 10th and will be playing several Australian dates beginning with this coming weekend's V Festival.

Tour openers include Deer Tick, Heartless Bastards and The Sadies. As mentioned, the only NYC date on the tour gets Deer Tick.

Tickets for all North American shows go on presale Wednesday, April 1st, and then regular sale Friday April 3rd. All dates below...

Saying that there's "candid" footage always implies there's something exciting and illuminating about the artist. Lewis is about as challenging and unpredictable as "Candid Camera" - and only slightly less annoying than an episode of "Those Amazing Animals".

this b is an h-j.
wtf? people support anyone who puts on an ecentric outfit and records half assed, egocentric "music."
oo, let's put our jobless friends on these tracks playing quirky instruments like the kazoo and the recorder.

jl: hi, i'm jenny lewis. i'm a quarter attractive, a quarter wasted, and half a b*tch. i speak for those who have no personallity at all and are talentless at heart, like me. my life is hard. remember 'the wizard'?
fan: hey, jenny, i like your fedora and cowboy boots. you rock.
jl: you should definitely buy my music.
