Ladyhawke & Heartsrevolution @ Studio B, NYC - pics
photos by Zach Stern

Village Voice: Besides playing shows in New York, anything you're going to check out?As mentioned a few times recently, Ladyhawke visited our country to play a few shows. The last one was Thursday night (3/26) at Studio B in Brooklyn. More pictures from that show below...Ladyhawke: I have a friend there who is a musician and I hope he can show me some things. He's one of about three people I know there. But I've only been there once before and I thought it was amazing.
The bars stay open until 4.
Really?
Yeah.
Wicked.

was at bowery show, was weird, felt like it was a fake band, felt manufactured and too styled, i don't know if she ever communicated with her band once, i get it she has Asperger syndrome, I just can not picture this music being written by a person without the intention of it appearing on gossip girl, every song sounds like a song I have heard before, whatever, the show left me with a bad almost duped feeling.

I recommend her album "ladyhawke"
Interesting voice + catchy tunes + very good production + modern hooks
Posted by Anonymous | March 31, 2009 10:42 PM
Her band is very fake and there are as many backing tracks live as there are song writers on her album...
