Neil Diamond playing an NYU event - tickets on sale

Join NYU Skirball Center and the NYU community in celebrating President Emeritus L. Jay Oliva and his 50 years at New York University.

The evening will feature performances and appearances by notable alumni and friends including Neil Diamond, Broadway stars Elena Shaddow (Light in the Piazza Natl. Tour), Peter Lockyer (South Pacific) and Baakari Wilder (Noise/Funk) in addition to singer-songwriter Todd Alsup, jazz musician Matt Shulman, sportscaster Kenny Albert and more.

Dr. Oliva has played an extraordinary role in the history and academic reputation of NYU beginning his career at the University as a professor of Russian history. He was president of NYU from 1991-2002 after serving for more that three decades in both academic and adminitrative positions. Today, he remains deeply committed to the University as a staunch supporter of the sports teams, an active participant in numerous student theatrical productions, co-founder of the George H. Heyman, Jr. Center for Philanthropy and Fundraising and he also serves as executive producer and chair of the Skirball Center.

All proceeds from ticket sales will go to the L. Jay Oliva Endowment which has been created in honor of Dr. Oliva to support future Skirball Center programming. [Tickets are on sale]
