I'm sorry but these guys are seriously overrated!

I agree. Two strikes against the band: 1) They are overrated, and 2) They are from Boston. Need I say more...

4. I went to school with the 'prodigy' who leads em... and he's a complete tool. That and I sold him cut cocaine, he didn't know the difference!

I wish I could resist the hype, but that new track sounds awesome.

haters

They're going to be this year's Black Kids: Overhyped EP built around one catchy single and then a failure of a rushed-out, over-produced, awful debut album.

Haters? On a BV comment stream? I'm shocked, just shocked.

Honestly, these guys are nowhere near as good as the hype, and the lead singer totally comes off as a douchebag in interviews and stuff.

Shades of Black Kids all over again: Debut EP overhyped because of one or two good songs, and I'm assuming their debut will be overproduced and was rushed out in order to take advantage of the momentum.

The lead singer sounds like he hooks up two booster cables to his testicles, turns up the voltage and hits the "record" button whenever its time for him to sing.

Much, much better songs than Black Kids.

That's like saying Zak Snyder makes better movies than Ed Wood

Everyone, ignore your personal opinion and listen to me! I know you think you'll enjoy seeing this band live, but is that really worth incurring the condescension of an anonymous blog comment poster? Go see band I like instead--actually, don't, cause then they'll play Terminal 5 when I'd rather see them at Bowery Ballroom.

Don't listen to the hype, just listen to the music. Their ep is actually really, really good. Hoping the full length is too.

@ anon 12:44pm
the ep the postal service's sophomore album that never happened. that can be taken as either a good or bad thing depending on your tastes.

"4. I went to school with the 'prodigy' who leads em... and he's a complete tool. That and I sold him cut cocaine, he didn't know the difference!"
you're the douchebag, way to be creative by REWRITING what you wrote last year? can't believe you ACTUALLY go to ART school

even though there's a little postal service in them, they still break ground. at least they don't sound like every other fucking band out there.

hey, anonymous. i haven't been on this site for months and you're still REWRITING the same stuff over and over again. you're the tool for dealing stuff and must be stoned. obviously you have an ax to grind with this one group and are determined to undermine their success for whatever reason. must be personal but judging from their success, the people who count, really don't care about you and what you think. not saying you have to like them but with this much time on your hands and such overwhelming negativity and hate, i can only imagine the lack of success in your life. keep on dealing until you get caught and good luck then. i personally love their music and so does Clash. Check out this month's cover, headman.
