The Books

The Books are playing a Thursday, April 9th show at Columbia U's Miller Theatre as part of the duo's short spring tour. Tickets are on sale. All dates below.

The band has been extremely quiet of late, with one high note being its Dark was the Night appearance, covering Nick Drake's "Cello Song " with Jose Gonzalez. As of now, The Books will not be appearing at the live version of Dark was the Night taking place at Radio City Music Hall.

The Books played the 2007 Bang on a Can Festival - the series' first 24+ hour event. The line-up of this year's marathon (May 31, 2009 at the World Financial Center) is still unannounced, but Bang on a Can does have several other fully scheduled events coming up, including a Bang on a Can All-Stars performance of works by David Longstreth, Lee Ranaldo, and others.

All tour dates and a video from the The Books' 2007 DVD Playall, below...

This will be a top-notch show.

a) if you are/can lie about being a student anywhere, tickets are 7 or 8. and those Columbia assholes have enough money from their tireless gentrification of morningside heights - and the books are probably getting a fixed rate.

b) THANK YOU andrew for all of your new-music and avant shit postings lately, it's something that BV has been sorely sorely lacking. serious kudos my friend.

does anyone know where to get tickets to the bennington show?

First of all, we're not "assholes," nor do we all come from wealthy backgrounds. Second, how can we gain or preserve money from the gentrification of Morningside Heights when it drives prices up?

surely you can see that you're mostly rich assholes, especially if you aren't one?!

I will recommend not to hold off until you earn big sum of money to buy different goods! You can take the credit loans or just auto loan and feel comfortable
