WAVVES adds a NYC show, Beach House opening for the Walkmen --- tickets on sale now.
Beach House @ MHOW (more by Zach Stern)

WAVVES has added a 3rd NYC show to his previously-announced itinerary. The new date is March 30th at Mercury Lounge with DD/MM/YYYY and Vampire Hands. Tickets are on sale. The other NYC shows are March 28th 29th at Cake Shop and March 29th 28th at Market Hotel. No advanced tickets for those.
It was already good news that The Walkmen added an April 16th NYC headlining show at Webster Hall. Now it's even better that Beach House has been revealed as the opener. Tickets are on sale.
Beach House's Victoria Legrand contributes to the new Grizzly Bear album. Tickets are now on sale for two Grizzly Bear shows at Town Hall.

aye, I'd be surprised if they don't hit a smaller place on their own. it'd be silly if they didn't.

Can someone explain Wavves to me? Am I wrong in thinking they sound like bad No Age?

Your Cake Shop and Market Hotel dates are switched, its the other way around.
ToddP's site has MH Saturday 28th.
Cake Shop site says Wavves/Vampire Hands on Sunday the 29th.

No Age would be better if they actually took the time to craft good tunes and not have a half-assed pop song with some random wash of noise. The indie Blink 182. Wavves are pretty good.

Am I wrong in sayin that Wavves is a better No Age? Sure the shirts are cool, but in my opinion most No Age songs just buil until they start to rock for 30 seconds and then the song ends. Similar styles but Wavves songs are better crafted.
