Tindersticks last night was one of the best shows I've ever seen.
Posted by michaelways | March 7, 2009 11:18 AM
11:18...if last night's tindersticks show was one of the best you've seen, you need to go out more.

Anon 11:57 were you there?
Posted by michaelways | March 7, 2009 1:05 PM
i was...the sound sucks at this place...the vocals couldve been better and they couldve played more older material.
i liked them better the last time i saw them in 2003
Posted by Anonymous | March 7, 2009 1:27 PM
Tindersticks in DC was boring as hell.
Posted by Anonymous | March 7, 2009 2:11 PM
Tindersticks show at Masonic was gorgeous. Sound was fine -- stop griping 1:27. Sound could *always* be better. Vocals were mixed fine. As for older material, I felt they did a good job of balancing the new record with older songs -- Her, My Sister -- and more recent stuff -- My Oblivion, which was stunning. Musicians want to play their new shit live, as they should.

^^^^^4:16 you are never allowed to comment ever again on sound for anything. You are either deaf or do not give a shit what anything sounds like. While not as bad as TV on the Radio at the Temple, the sound was seriously not great last night. And with a band like Tindersticks that is important. My guess is you have never seen the band live before because if you had you would not say the show was gorgeous.

Someone's a fucking snob and a half. Are you seriously telling someone that they aren't allowed to comment on "sound for anything"? Are you 12? I really enjoyed the Tindersticks last night, not even judging by the sound of the venue. Stuart and the band sounded sincere and yes "gorgeous".

Fans of the National would be well served to check out early Tindersticks.
