I heart the Heartless Bastards, and they rocked Webbie Hall last night. A chest-pounding blast of 70's bluesy hard rock with vocal styling reminiscent perhaps of Chrissie, or Exene, or Lucinda Williams. Let's hope they headline themselves soon.
The kids seemed to enjoy local heroes Gaslight Anthem and their punky air-punching singalongs. From the back wall of Webster, they look the part of pop stars.
Checked out the Studio music space in the bowels of Webster Hall. It's a nice, very small room with good sound that could serve a young band well.

Titus was great! Sound was a little bad but they had so much energy as did the crowd!
