Elvis Costello presales
There are lots of pre-sales going on for the upcoming Elvis Costello show at the Beacon Theater. There's the ArtistArena presale (username: Elvis, password: Costello), but tickets to the NYC show are already sold out on that one. Then there's three separate presales starting at Ticketmaster at 10am - the WFUV one, the "venue" one, and the Live Nation one. The password to one of them is HESUGARCANE.

and presale sold out in what, 2 minutes. first try i got very last row of upper balcony. tried again with no luck for several minutes, and then ended up with seat in the loge for more than i really wanted to spend. sigh. fucking scalpers.

I work at ticketmaster. You are falling for the oldest trick in the book. This is an easy show to buy tickets to. All good seats come to those who wait at Ticcketmaster...

If you enter "STRINGS" into the livenation presale you can get tickets in any section; orchestra, balcony, or Loge. Unfortunately, those bastards at ticketmaster (see above) charge 25+ in service fees, and I can't afford any seat greater than balcony.

someday there will be a revolution and these scumbags will twist from the end of a rope (ticketmaster andf the scalpers).
only tix offered were loge, upper balcony and rows s-v of the orchestra. i passed on all.
there BETTER be good tix available for the general on sale tomorrow.
