Ditto on Get up Kids. Why don't they say how much tickets are before they go on sale?
Posted by mp77 | April 2, 2009 11:57 AM
price of one ticket for the Get Up kids, 26$, ticket fee 10,25$, Live Nation has outdone itself on this one.

They priced all my friends who would have went to the Get up Kids out. I'm a sucker and still going but jeez the excitement of buying tickets surely was diminished.

There was a pre-sale on the GUK tickets yesterday through Ducat King, minus all the stupid LiveNation b.s. charges.

no non 12:28...i remember first seeing them at coney island high...i think it was 1997 just after 4 minute mile got released.
i have a sore spot for them.
so, i checked blender theatre to see if i can skip charges and i get this doozy:
Can I pick up the tickets from the theatre?
No. You are purchasing premium tickets that must be delivered directly to you

Can't you just go and buy the tickets from the Irving Plaza box office?
Posted by Anonymous | April 2, 2009 1:13 PM

the presale via ducatking was willcall as well, but you got a choice for a limited edition t-shirt which is better than a 10 dollar cover charge

"price of one ticket for the Get Up kids, 26$, ticket fee 10,25$, Live Nation has outdone itself on this one."
It's not a ticket fee, it's a stupidity tax for thinking a band that blew in 1996 would be good and/or relevant in 2009.
Posted by Anonymous | April 2, 2009 5:09 PM
i'd pay 50$ to watch lanegan beat the hell out of the get up kids plus a 15$ service charge.
