This band is saving rock and roll. Thank fucking God.

They sucked at MSG. I regret going just because I won a free ticket.
Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2009 3:49 PM
They killed it at MSG. The place was going insane for them.
Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2009 3:51 PM
They were dull and unresponsive at MSG.
Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2009 3:52 PM
Are these guys really that big? If it true that means we can't like them anymore.
Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2009 3:53 PM
Sounds like all you fucking losers should realize it's 4/20...smoke a joint, maybe relax a bit. THEN you can realize that some people think this is a great band, and that's okay. You don't have to listen to them.
Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2009 3:59 PM
Not too many people on this site like them anyway...
I think they are talented dudes.

"This band is saving rock and roll. Thank fucking God"
Obviously you have not seen a lot of shows or listened to a lot of music. These guys are overhyped and overrated. Not bad, but lets not get ridiculous.

Rock and Roll will be just fine without these guys..trust me...

"They were dull and unresponsive at MSG."
didnt see them at msg, but that describes their performance at apw

I think these guys are damn good, but i don't think anyone likes seeing a band at MSG or Izod. Its just not as good. I was lucky enough to catch them at Radio City and again at the Electric Factory in Philly. Both times they were phenomenal. Now...well they have to many generic fans. Happens.

Saw them at the Bowery a few years back - Nathan had a hissy fit that people were not digging them. Saw them at Starland - much much better. It's a shame that they only released two good albums, being the first two.

Maybe you should get over the whole 4/20 thing. What are you fucking 15? Grow up, pothead. Get a new hobby.

Jesus christ this place is angry, why do you people even bother posting? Shouldn't you all be busy listening to Wavves or remixing the Gang Gang Dance cd anyway?

how can you even look at a picture of these "trendy" fucks and not get extremely mad?
not to mention their music is sexist, whiny shit. horrible lyrics.
also, anyone remember the quote of them saying how it "breaks their heart" that they arent as successful in the US a few years back? whiny fuckers.

KOL saved my life!
For real!
They pulled me from a burning building . . . and then they pulled down my pants . . . now my privates are burning . . . but that's okay, because they saved my life . . . so I owed it to them . . . my privates as well as my life.
I guess I'm trying to say . . . I'm going to go to the show.
Anyone who wants to meet up, I'll buy you a Bud.

Who still likes these guys that HASN'T already seen them the last 600 times they've played? They haven't stopped touring since about 2005.
I must have seen them 6 times at this point, and the only time I actually MEANT to see them (read: not at some festival) was at Radio City in 2007.
Now you gotta pay $50 for the "privilege" of seeing them at some gigantic arena? Pass.

"not to mention their music is sexist"
Would you level that same comment to a rap/R&B artist?
Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2009 8:49 PM
they seem like they have downs and sing while choking on their tongues. it's just not good. This is beyond haters or hating. This is just simply fact. Kings of Leon are a shitty generic major label created band with zero soul or talent.

These guys sound like Peter Gabriel backed up by Creed.
Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2009 10:03 PM
I really love their music, but they are not that great live. A lackluster show at APW.
Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2009 10:46 PM
Bo Bice is cheaper at your state fair....it's kinda the same as KOL
Posted by Anonymous | April 20, 2009 10:55 PM
They were fantastic at Lollapalooza '07, great at Radio City and just kinda boring at APW.

this must be a NY blog with how much hate people spew on these posts.
kings of leon are awesome, and if you don't think so, why do you care enough to spend your energy hating?

different strokes for different folks. i think this band is great and all of the recent success they've been having is well deserved. i saw them at MSG and they put on a fantastic show -- very few modern bands can carry an arena-sized crowd for an entire show and these guys did it with grace and ease.

Years ago the singer was the bass player in Heartless Wager, a local NY group that went on to make it big in LA. I guess you can say that he has had two shots at fame.
I think they are good, but sound a bit too much like Grease Monkey or the Forget Me Nots, especially with the big arena rock touches. I can see where that comes from, the singer's former band was in the Whitesnake style.
