Late of the Pier

"U.K. scenesters Late of the Pier returned to New York after their buzzed-about shows during CMJ. Truth be told, they had flown under my radar because on record, they sound way too programmed and over-produced. More of the same, 80s retread. After seeing them live, and the great deal of live instruments and keyboards they incorporate into their show, they really impressed me. Again, you really can't judge a band until you see them live." [Music Snobbery]The Late of the Pier / The Whip tour hit Bowery Ballroom on Wednesday night (4/1). Leia love it, and Showtrotta says more about it HERE. Tonight (4/3) is round two at Studio B in Brooklyn. More Manhattan pics below...

How was this show? I was suppose to go but couldn't make it and am super pissed about it.

This was a really fun show. Good crowd too (surprisingly).
But The Whip are lame.

i don't quite get how you can say the whip are lame yet you also said it was a fun show, meaning you liked late of the pier... they're all dance bands, it's a pretty similar sound...
