They're an NYC supergroup led by veteran producers Daniel Collas and Sean Marquand, and featuring contributions from L'Trimm, Calla, Sí Se, TV on the Radio, The Dap Kings, & The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion. ok i've been trying to figure it out. Which member of Handclap was in TVOTR?

"Contributions from" doesn't mean that someone from TV on the Radio is an actual band member; it means that someone from that group performed on the recorded material. The record company announcement is poorly written.

I think the announcement makes sense - members of the various bands listed above all contribute their talents on one or more songs on the album. But I'd agree that they're not really a "supergroup" per se - the band is just a bunch of really talented musicians, with or without the guests on the album. Regardless of what you want to call them, I think they're pretty awesome live.

Phenominal Handclap is an impressive live show. This should be good. And there I certainly have no problems with free Colt 45.
