Online arts journal The Highlights is hosting a two-year birthday party for itself tonight (Saturday, April 4th) at CSV Cultural Center (107 Suffolk at Rivington).

Join us in celebrating two glorious years of salacious commentary on the world-wide web with drinks, DJs, live music, and installations. Featuring artwork by Lisha Bai, Skyler Brickley, Mac Carbonell, Tova Carlin, Yoonjai Choi, Allen Cordell, Ethan Greenbaum, Lucy Kim, Ken Meier, Leeza Meksin, Dave Scanavino, Luke Stettner, Julia Weist, Mike Womack, and Sun You.

Rude & Insensitive, Aight Tho Ken Meier, Luke Harris, and Andrew Shurtz

Ponytail's other upcoming tour dates include an April 25th MHOW show with Marnie Stern and Think About Life.

Also tonight (4/4), new Williamsburg venue Bruar Falls has confirmed that the "secret guest" at its free grand opening party tonight is in fact Chairlift. Acrylics and DJ Justin Miller are also on the bill for that show.

Chairlift is scheduled to open for Peter Bjorn and John on a tour that includes two end-of-April NYC dates. This summer the band is also playing Bonnaroo and All Points West.

I miss the day when line ups for a show didn't sound so... fruity! Pony Tail.. what did they run outta band names at the irony store already?
