Now that cub took to Robin right off. And that was when he discovered that he had special kind of way with animals; They'd just come right up to him like he was a natural part of the wilderness. But that bear cub, he was extra special. As he growed, he became the best friend Robin ever had, and together, they became a legend.

shit, why don't these bands every come to san antonio, texas, which is where i'll be moving soon? they only go to austin, and only sometimes, for SXSW or ACL. i mean, they end up going to other redneck states. WTF man!!!

San Antonio is very close to Austin. You can probably travel to Austin by car is less the time it takes to go to the United Palace by subway if you live in Brooklyn.

dont go to apw. The day after apw I'm sure they will announce t5 shows.
Posted by Anonymous | May 5, 2009 7:11 AM
7:11pm, that probably won't happen especially if you're dealing with Goldenvoice. They have a performance blackout period which means most acts (they sometimes make exceptions) can't play within the general area of their festivals 2 weeks before or after the festival takes place.

yeah, want to see YYYs, but not down for shitty apw fest. just ONE real local date....

this is why Goldenvoice sucks. why do they have to do that?

"can't play within the general area of their festivals 2 weeks before or after the festival takes place."
Two weeks? I wish. Most blackouts for big venues are 3 months before and after. They can announce a future show (which will take place after the blackout period) only if the show sells out or after the show.
"this is why Goldenvoice sucks. why do they have to do that?"
Every venue does this, not only Goldenvoice. Even venues as small as Pianos will want to dictate a blackout period. This procedure is standard.

actually, there is no blackout period at pianos.
