Dead Milkmen @ Warsaw 4/17/09 (more by Lori Baily)
Dead Milkmen

Insubordination Fest is happening this year on Friday, June 26th and Saturday, June 27th at Baltimore's Sonar. The lineup for the annual punk fest, started by Insubordination Records in 2006, includes the Dead Milkmen, Dillinger Four and MANY more. Full lineup below. Two-day passes, as well as individual night tickets, are now on sale.

The reunited Dead Milkmen recently played Brooklyn's Warsaw on April 17th. The band's Joe Jack Talcum has been playing regular solo shows, too. Video from the Warsaw gig, with Talcum's upcoming schedule, and full Insubordination Fest info (including a pre-fest show), is below...

For the fun music and excitable crowd. Oh and if we're talking about Warsaw… the sausages.

I accidentally caught a Joe Jack Talcum show in Hudson (NY) and it was beyond awesome, though about 2/3 of the other patrons in the bar did not seem to have ever heard of The Dead Milkmen. What a treat. His solo work is hilariously good ("Talk," "Get a Car," "Stranger Gold") and totally underappreciated.

oh sweet merciful crap!
how did i not know about this show and make the trip from Boston to Brooklyn for it?
i miss the Dead Milkmen so much, it would've been great to see them live again. Joe Jack's solo shows are a ton of fun too, but the Milkmen were really a one in a million band.
and man, that is pretty sweet to see Rodney sporting a VNV Nation tshirt.

Brooklyn, you are a bunch of lucky mofos.
