Isobel Campbell and Mark Lanegan

The upcoming Isobel Campbell and Mark Lanegan US tour, scheduled to start in May, has been postponed.

See you all in September x

Due to unavoidable circumstances I am disappointed and sorry to announce that we have had to postpone NYC, San francisco and Los Angeles concerts until September this year. For anyone who has bought tickets, these tickets will still be valid in September. And I am sorry for any inconvenience. The good news is that there will be a more extensive U.S and Canadian tour at this time. Thanks for bearing with me! More information to follow....isobelxo

The NYC show was scheduled to take place at Webster Hall on Wednesday, May 27th. Campbell writes that the shows will be rescheduled for September. Most likely they'll be planned around the pair's appearance at Seattle's Bumbershoot Festival, which takes place September 5th - 7th.

2:17- don't make me laugh at work

As far as the scag goes, Mark's a lifer. But he wouldn't be Mark otherwise. It's his muse and permeates his art. I'm willing to wait until he's ready to go again. Rest up, Mark.

"Aside from Gutter Twins and Twilight Singers shows, Mark Lanegan ALWAYS cancels."

He DID show up with Soulsavers, though he looked like he wasn't quite sure where he was at all. Sang great as always, though.

What, did the trust fund run out?

Rumor has it that Lanegan may be guesting on an upcoming EP by the fabulous Stewart McSmithers & The Trust Fund Five. Their friendly Williamsburg rivals the Trust Fund Dummies are also trying to secure the elegantly wasted services of well-known Brit scaghead Pete(r)Doherty for their reportedly ace "Trust Fund Blues" debut.

Is smack the new ecstasy? Or is PBR the new Bud Lite?

Isobel's got a nice rack but is that rack also on smack?

Posted by Anonymous | May 15, 2009 10:27 AM

Have you heard TBA's version of "Smack That Rack"? It's killer!

I've been hearing the cancellations are because Campbell didn't apply for her visa in time and that Lanegan got tired of waiting for her to get her crap together and decided to tour with Soulsavers instead. Apparently she's a bit of a diva.
