I just can't get the money out of my wallet.

It's so expensive is all I think about.

hell yeah! i got my tickets! screw the cost-- i've been waiting for years for this shit! plus i'd probably get my gay card revoked if i missed it!

i would see her live. ill be honest, i get a roll of quarters just THINKING about that ass.

Isn't this the singer from the '80s? Do the locomotion?

Crazy but true: I was working in the studio where she recorded her record "Fever." Not only could she actually sing, she was a really nice, down-to-earth person. Now I'm not a fan of her music by any stretch of the imagination (and the parade of producers were mostly shitheads), but I gotta say she was a good person and actually has some talent.

Walked by Rock Center a few hours ago and saw a bunch of folks setting up overnight lodging on the sidewalk - I guess for tomorrow's Today broadcast. Could it be for Kylie? Hard to believe. Indeed after some web searching, it turns out another 80's icon - New Kids on The Block - will be performing on Today tomorrow morning.

Check this out--there's about four people who've been out there since MONDAY.

MONDAY, people!!! 24 hours each day!!!

Right by the Citibank on 48th St.

Helps me feel that much less pathetic about my own sorry existence.

Posted by Wackamole | May 7, 2009 2:42 PM

Not to worry, most of the folks I saw on the sidewalk appear to be well fed.

Posted by drewo | May 7, 2009 2:53 PM

Well, at least they're getting soaked, and will probably wind up with pneumonia or pigfluenza.

Posted by Anonymous | May 7, 2009 3:14 PM

pigluenza?
the brooklyn vegan message board always reminds me of what wonderful people live in this world...

so anyway, i cant get over the ticket price for the kylie minogue show either. 85 dollars? With ticketmaster fees (hammerstein doesn't have a box office so its mandatory) its at least a 100.

Are people really going to pay that much for her? Who knew kylie was that big here?

the pre-sale tickets for all six cities were sold out this morning. didn't you hear the collective Gay Gasp at work this morning? yes, that's the one. the public needs to hear her do Speakerphone and In My Arms live. what a shame to have NKOTB instead of her. but yes, it has finally happened - Kylie touring this side of the pond. time to dust off those sequinned onesies. you too, girls.

I want to get tix for my husband but I've never been to the Hammerstein, what does GA mean exactly, is it standing room only?

Yes, it's my husband who's the big fan, He's always telling me he would leave me for her, I mean If I were him I'd leave me too!

What ever people - she is star so all you tight a$$ people that dont want to pay a small amount of money to see a talented singer have fun watching tv at home.

In Australia you would pay up to $300 to see her so this is cheap!

Enjoy the show

Chicago show changes venue:

LAST MINUTE CHANGE OF VENUE FOR KYLIE MINOGUE
IN CHICAGO ON WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 7TH

Kylie Minogue’s first ever show in Chicago this Wednesday October 7th is being moved at the last minute to the UIC Pavilion (University of Illinois at Chicago: 525 S Racine Ave., Chicago, IL 60607-3303)!

The Spectacular, originally scheduled to be staged at the Congress Theatre, sold out months ago but the sheer scale of the production just won’t fit into the Congress, necessitating the upgrade.

The promoters apologize to any fans inconvenienced by this last minute change. The good news is that UIC Pavilion will showcase Kylie better. The downtown venue is more accessible for most fans and the move has created a release of additional tickets for those previously disappointed.

All tickets purchased for the Congress Theatre show will be honored at UIC Pavilion. Newly opened tickets will be available at Ticketmaster.com and all Ticketmaster outlets beginning today, Sunday, October 4, 2009, at 3p.m. CDT. Tickets will also be available at UIC Pavilion Box Office, on the day of show only, beginning at 6 p.m.
