In what sense? Despite all the promo $ and big-name guests, he dropped behind Ferguson after his second week (though he might have rebounded, ratings-wise, since then). And the 12:30 shows get a fraction of the audience watching at 11:30.
They really should have given the whole hour to The Roots. When they're not playing, the Fallon show is like having a dick shoved in your ear.

I first noticed the "band bench" when John Rich was the musical guest. He performed a song about the decline of Detroit, which doesn't seem like the kind of song people should be dancing to (which they were).
