Amanda Palmer & Neil Gaiman @ Housing Works, NYC - pics

[Wednesday] night after an impossibly drizzling/humid day, Neil Gaiman & Amanda Palmer performedat Housing Works Bookstore as a part of SPIN's "Liner Notes", an event that combines a musician and an author to discuss creativity. This was the second event of the series, the first being Augusten Burroughs with Tegan (of Tegan & Sara).Amanda Palmer plays a much bigger and proper music show tonight, June 5th, at Highline Ballroom. Housing Works is having a street fair this weekend. More pictures of Amanda and Neil at Housing Works, including one of what looks to be Amanda holding up a naked picture of herself, below...The set opened with Gaiman reading a section from he and Palmer's soon-to-be released book Who Killed Amanda Palmer? The piece seemed to be a preface or at least an opening story to the book, a collection of photographs of Amanda Palmer dead with short stories by Gaiman.
After the story, Palmer launched into "Astronaut", the first song off the "Who Killed Amanda Palmer?" album, a great choice. [cupcake witch]

Oh my gosh! I wish I was there! I adore Amanda and Gaiman. Life is so unfair, argh! Well, at least the people who went had a killer time-and how could they not?! Oi, you guys are Lucky! Amanda so pretty, I love what she's done with her hair...and Gaiman! He is a fraeking God...what minds, I love them both. They are the Definition of Epic! And Together, they are The Ultimate in Mind Blowing Awesomeness! Oh my gosh I wish I could have been there!

I was there and witnessed some very wonderous uke music with stunning scatting words of devotion, except for the farting into the mike.

That was an awesome night! Amanda was great as always. Even better, the readings were especially good..I loved the one about the statue, heh.

Amanda Palmer is a social climbing Scientologist and part of a network of Scientologists who continually promote each other. She is involved with Scientologist Neil Gaiman who has given over $100,000.00 to the CULT. Amanda Palmer makes up for her ineloquence and dreadful songwriting abilities with tantrum throwing, exposing the world to her underwear, rape stories and bisexuality. Neil Gaiman, unbelievably, tries to pass himself off as a children's author, while lying about his Scientology status, his marriage and now having a public midlife crisis with Palmer. Scientologists think the internet is a big superstore where they continually promote each other at our expense. The sooner these two idiots go away the better.

Gaiman and Palmer are Scientologists. They got paired up to make money, that's why their relationship was "launched" with pictures and a soundtrack. Unfortunately for Scientology's coffers, Gaiman's career is on the downslide after writing so many bad scripts that tanked and Palmer got dumped by her record label because she can't write a song to save her life, let alone sing. Scientology weirdos.
