Bonnaroo

LA RECORD: I notice some writers making cracks about glowsticks and jam bands--what do you think makes people use that for cheap jokes?

Noah Panda Bear: I'd say that the music just isn't those people thing and I think that's fine and as it should be. They're just putting it down because they aren't into it and they think it's lame. If you want to be a creative person and you want to share your things with other people then you better be prepared to be told you suck.

Make some popcorn and prepare to enjoy Animal Collective's set live from Bonnaroo from the comfort of your own computer later today (6/12). Grab a peanut butter cup, and enjoy the band's new video, below...

to anon 10:46... I understand your desire for a narrative due to the song's narrative, but the group has stated on multiple occasions that they like to make a music video that doesn't really have a definite narrative because it gives people more of a chance to interpret a song in their own way. Sometimes music videos stick in your head and that's exactly how a person will view a song.
