I hate how when faced with and an imminent storm, the people running the shows will still let an indifferently received opener play for 40 min, and the headliner has to stop after 5.

Wasn't it about this time last year that Blonde Redhead let about 2,000 people wait on a line next to the West Side Highway for 3 hours? In the pouring rain? The organizers told people it was rain or shine. Then Blonde Redhead cancelled. They were seen leaving the site in a nice warm, dry van.

GREAT lineup on Saturday. I think I'll have to make the trek. These United States are a superb live band, and I've always wanted to see the other two.

"These United States are a superb live band,"
not true

These United States are exactly where they should be on that lineup. First of third. Phopshorescent should be headlining though.

And it's supposed to storm tonight for Blonde Redhead once again!
Posted by Anonymous | June 26, 2009 2:34 PM
Yes, These United States should be first of those three. Though I don't understand how not being as famous as the other two makes them not good.

I was there and kazu and the band delivered an eerie performance set to the looming clouds and breaking light on the evening. just look at the pics man! Kazu is really sexy.
