Brooklyn Bowl
Brooklyn Bowl

As you can see above, work at the new Brooklyn Bowl appears to be nearing completion...but it won't be ready in time for the O'Death show that was scheduled for the venue on Saturday, June 13th. That Northside Festival gig will instead be a day show at the Music Hall of Williamsburg on North 6th in Williamsburg. Tickets are on sale, as are Northside Festival badges which will also get you into the show which you can hit before or after you enjoy a stroll down a vehicle-less Bedford Avenue.

This summer, O'Death continues their love affair with Les Claypool, with shows booked together in June and July. Earlier this year, O'Death opened part of Claypool's Oddity Faire tour, which visited NYC's Terminal 5 in March. O'Death opened for Claypool as recently as May 28th in Hilton Head, SC.

A video from that gig, with all tour dates, below...

There have been a handful of rumors sighted around the internet about possible acts for Virgin, including Muse, Coldplay, Blink 182, Weezer, No Doubt, Beastie Boys, Alice In Chains, Franz Ferdinand, Pearl Jam and Metallica. It is also of note that 2009's Virgin Mobile Festival may take place at the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland as opposed to its regular location of Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore, Maryland. Currently, it is also believed that festival will be held at the end of August on the 29th and 30th based on the locations and ending tours of the rumored bands. It has also been mentioned that the capacity of the concert may be reduced by up to fifty percent, since the Merriweater Post Pavilion holds a significantly smaller number of people than Pimlico.

Virgin Festival means having to go to Baltimore. Therefore, Virgin Festival is not worth going to.

Too bad about the venue. A bowling alley seemed like the perfect place for O'Death and the piss-beer swilling white trash that go to their clusterfuck shows.

Love these guys. Play a DIY show? *crosses fingers*

This is one of the worst bands I have ever seen. It's like blackface, except for instead of being a garish caricature of African-Americans, it's of people from the dust bowl. They should be burned alive.
