" Bernard Madoff, standing with his hands clasped in front of him, showed no emotion as a judge ordered him to serve the rest of his life in a prison cell.
Madoff, sentenced to 150 years to life for defrauding investors of at least $13 billion, listened impassively as U.S. District Judge Denny Chin rejected his lawyer's claim that victims of his massive Ponzi scheme wanted mob justice. Then Madoff rose, braced himself against a mahogany table and faced Chin as the judge handed down the sentence." [Bloomberg]

"NO MORE MICHAEL JACKSON SHIT! MOVE ON."
Screw that! Keep the MJ coverage coming. Nothing wrong with memorial pictures. Totally justified. Long live the King.

Yea, I think it's considerate of Brooklyn Vegan to keep a little MJ coverage/photos going.

Bernie Madoff- Worth it? I mean, if I could be obscenely wealthy until I'm 75, then spend the last five or so in a country club prison. The prison will kind of be like a nursing home for him anyway. I mean... probably not worth it, but still, worth considering. That is, if I could escape the guilt of destroying countless lives.

There's no U.S. embassy in Tehran, so where have MJ's Iranian fans formed their memorial?
Posted by Anonymous | July 1, 2009 12:44 AM
In the prisons, most likely.
