Sux for all the people that are there today.

Especially since umbrellas are not allowed.

Posted by Anonymous | July 31, 2009 11:18 AM

I will pay $21 but for Saturday!

Posted by Anonymous | July 31, 2009 11:18 AM

No umbrellas allowed? Let me change that, I'm willing to spend $15 bucks max.

Posted by Anonymous | July 31, 2009 11:20 AM

It's called a poncho!

Posted by Anonymous | July 31, 2009 11:20 AM

yeah, but you can't attract lighting with a pancho, what's the fun in that?

Posted by Anonymous | July 31, 2009 11:24 AM

what really sucks is the bands playing there. you thought they were mediocre last year- this year waaaay worse. This post should have been AC/DC party in the rain at giants Stadium!- hell yeahhhhh! THUNDER- AHHHHH-AHHHHH-AHHHH, THUNDER!

Posted by Anonymous | July 31, 2009 11:24 AM

Cuz I'm praying for rain
And I'm praying for tidal waves
I wanna see the ground give way.
I wanna watch it all go down.

Posted by Anonymous | July 31, 2009 11:25 AM

All Points Wet.

Brooklynvegan was mentioned in the NYTimes today in the article about Festivals. Bowery Presents is supposedly planning a festival next year. Also, MSG producitons but a 900 acre piece of land for a festival next year outside of Albany.

Dont come over here
And piss on my gate
Save it just keep it
Off my wave
Keep it off my wave

Posted by christopher | July 31, 2009 11:36 AM

i'll be too drunk at AC/DC to care

Posted by Anonymous | July 31, 2009 11:40 AM

Thanks Chris Cornell...

The video of that storm is perfect foreshadowing for this weekend

Posted by Anonymous | July 31, 2009 11:42 AM

Best song of last year's All Points West....

Rain down, rain down
Come on rain down on me
From a great height
From a great height... height...
Rain down, rain down
Come on rain down on me
From a great height
From a great height... height...
Rain down, rain down
Come on rain down on me

That's it sir
You're leaving
The crackle of pigskin
The dust and the screaming
The yuppies networking
The panic, the vomit
The panic, the vomit
God loves his children, God loves his children, yeah!

"I have no idea what you are talking about"

Posted by Anonymous | July 31, 2009 11:47 AM

I predict the "electronic" tent will see unprecedented levels of attendance this weekend

Posted by Anonymous | July 31, 2009 11:49 AM

GOOD. I hope the rain will make APW fail tremendously.

$89 a day for a concert YOU CANT EVEN CAMP AT is robbery.

Fuck AEG and I feel sorry for those who bought tickets for this festival of fail.

Posted by Justin Leon | July 31, 2009 11:57 AM

APW is a poor excuse for a festival. Last year was basically a Radiohead concert with a bunch of opening bands. But this year? Nothing about the lineup is worth $100 a day.

Hopefully this will be the last year and someone else can give an attempt at a real festival next year. Seriously, no camping?

Posted by Anonymous | July 31, 2009 12:00 PM

shoulda jus had Vineland this year instead :(

Posted by Anonymous | July 31, 2009 12:03 PM

Y'all are really a bunch of righteous, whiny bitches. Shut the fuck up if you don't like it, seriously.

Posted by Anonymous | July 31, 2009 12:08 PM

I agree, Anon 12:00. Went to APW last year and I have no interest in going ever again. It was alright, but not worth the money or effort getting back and forth to LSP.

Plus, the 5 beer max beer tent thing was lame last year. Hopefully they will at least fix that this time around for the people that go.

Posted by Anonymous | July 31, 2009 12:10 PM

Word 12:08!

Posted by Anonymous | July 31, 2009 12:12 PM

Arctic Monkeys > Gogol Bordello > My Bloody Valentine > Crystal Castles > Tool

We can find a good time in there somewhere.

Posted by Anonymous | July 31, 2009 12:15 PM

Heartless Bastards' thunder-god rock will open the skies.

Riders on the storm
Into this house we're born
Into this world we're thrown
Like a dog without a bone,
An actor out on loan
Riders on the storm

Posted by Anonymous | July 31, 2009 12:42 PM

you can probably get tickets to this off craigslist for next to nothing.

Posted by Anonymous | July 31, 2009 12:49 PM

"GOOD. I hope the rain will make APW fail tremendously"

Seriuosly, why all the animosity and overall negativity toward something that you have NOTHING to do with??!?! Nobody made these people pay $$$ for these tix, they paid b/c they wanted to go and have a good time. Why do you hope someone else's good time is ruined just because YOU are unhappy with the situation?

I'm not going because there are not enough bands I want to see, but I certainly don't hold it against those who are attending.....nobody is being extorted and forced to go!

Who the F do you think you are and why do you think ANYONE cares about your insignificant opinion. Stay at home, pout like a child, and continue to be a miserable anonymous troll!

FU and have a sh!tty weekend "bro"!

Can't believe so much hate. I can't go this year but went last year and it was fine. As for the price, find me an arena show that's less than $89 for one to two bands, and this is like 15 bands a day for $100, that's really not so bad. And there are plenty of good bands, The National, Tool, My Bloody Valentine, Fleet Foxes, Coldplay (yea, i said it!!), Mogwai, Elbow, Echo and The Bunnymen, Black Keys, Q-Tip, etc? Really, that's a rip off? As far as the beer, yes, kind of a drag, but it kept the drunken moron contingent screaming for 'Creep' during Radiohead's show to a pretty bare minimum, so no complaints from me. This area needs a big festival, we should be hoping this succeeds, not rooting for it to fail. Ya'll are some negative punks!

"you can probably get tickets to this off craigslist for next to nothing."

well thats not true. single tickets for sunday are 60 at the cheapest

Posted by Anonymous | July 31, 2009 1:25 PM

I got $50 for a Sat if anyone is interested in selling..

Posted by Anonymous | July 31, 2009 1:29 PM

"well thats not true. single tickets for sunday are 60 at the cheapest"

Last year, I got a ticket for the Sat show for $45. It was the only sold out date for the festival (since Radiohead was playing), and it was still possible to find a cheap ticket.

If you show up at the door, I would expect to find $10-20 tickets.

Posted by Anonymous | July 31, 2009 1:36 PM

anyone know if the drinking situation is going to be as bad as last year. you could only get 5 beers for the whole day. which really didn't matter because it took an hour to get a beer anyway. plus they made you sit in a fenced off area where you couldn't see anything. would be nice to be able to have a beer and watch a show at the same time.

Posted by Anonymous | July 31, 2009 3:51 PM

jay-z cancelled. he hates the rain. i think they might have mos def backing him up, ready to perform.

Posted by mudderfudder | July 31, 2009 5:08 PM

umbrellas are a pretty cool way to make the best of a rainy day. don't let rain rain on your parade concert goers. i'll bet you have a cool time.
