Jarvis Cocker & Little Joy @ MHOW in NYC - pics
photos by Chris La Putt

NY MAG: How was working with Steve Albini on Further Complications?Jarvis Cocker played Music Hall of Williamsburg last night (7/30). Little Joy opened. Some more pictures are below...Jarvis Cocker: It was kind like the polar opposite of most producers. He didn't want to get his fingerprints all over the record. And we're not that dissimilar in age; even though we were growing up in other continents, I guess it's that punk movement that brought us into music, so there were some points of reference in common. You know, being in the studio can be very, very dull, but this wasn't at all because when he wasn't playing poker online, we actually had some quite interesting conversations. And I suppose it's well-known -- he wears overalls to work because he treats it as a job rather than a creative enterprise, and that was quite a refreshing thing.

Jarvis appeared on Jimmy Fallon the same night which Questlove (who played his own show at Webster Hall the same night) wasn't so happy about. Video?

Seriously Vegan, it's called PHOTO EDITING, look into it...
Do you really have to publish THIS many photos, in lieu of 5 or 6 really effective ones?
Running this many only betrays your photographers, and exhausts your audience.
It's a shame you can't just pick a few winners from what's obviously a talented snapper?

Whoa, that last photo, that's sooo hot. Friends laugh that I'm so crazy about this geeky Harvard professor looking guy with a penchant for brown tweed and corduroy. They don't understand. They just don't understand.
