Good luck to whomever "wins" this BV contest. I saw Minjasonik open for Matt & Kim @ MHOW several months ago and I wouldn't see them again if you paid me.

eh you're a dope. I was at that show and they did what they were supposed to do, entertain you.

Go BK

ninjasonik do anything but entertain - they're just abrasive and obnoxious.

Ninjasonik are frat boys disguised as hipsters.

Everyone is talking about how bad Ninjasonik is and nobody mentioned how horribly obnoxious Ebony Bones is. I had to painfully sit through her set when she played before Yo La Tengo at McCarren Pool last year. I can't believe that she actually has a fan base to fill the small Bowery Ballroom.

Bowery Ballroom was empty

yeah...the crowd at bowery was pretty pathetic but you still gotta give her props. music is shit but the show was at least mildly entertaining for their getups. (the future of live music?)

If you think her music is shit, you need to check your pulse. It's sad that many fans of great music (like Yo La Tengo) are deaf to pretty much anything with mainstream appeal.

How bout them Drums eh?.....

Posted by Anonymous | July 30, 2009 11:06 AM

the drums were sooo not impressive. and i'm pretty sure the backup singers sang all of 3 words in the entire set.

mobius band dull? you should give them another shot if you're going to the show anyway...they can be totally entrancing and energetic.

For me, Ninjasonik is number one in the HipHop world! They really have this unique style during their performances. I hope those lucky fanatics who won or bought tickets in their shows really enjoyed.
