The Cool Kids are playing SOB's (and All Points West)
The Cool Kids @ Highline Ballroom (more by Leia Jospe)

The Cool Kids will be at APW next weekend (along with Organized Konfusion, Q-Tip (who just played Summerstage), Pharcyde, Kool Keith, and Jay-Z, but sadly NOT Beastie Boys) and they have already scheduled their NYC return.... 29 days later. They are scheduled to play SOB's on August 30, tickets are on sale. -Black Bubblegum

these guys are over, it's Kid Cudi's year to be this type of act. Which has the shelf life of exactly 1 year, so it won't be too long until Kid Cudi's replacement is on the assembly line.

Reviews of SOB's? Never been there before? What venue would you compare it to?

It's most like Terminal 5.

"It's most like Terminal 5."
That was sarcasm.

It's the link between defunct NYC venues that held hip-hop in the late 90's a la Tramps and the Wetlands and now Knitting Factory ... bouncers are dicks, drinks are not too cheap not crazy, sight-lines are ok - it's pretty easy to get to, albeit near the West Side hwy ... holds about 400-500 people, maybe a little more? Nothing special.

nothing like terminal 5, but can't think of a better comparison. Maybe Southpaw.
