200 guitars and no rain this weekend?

Rhys Chatham: A Crimson Grail for 200 Electric Guitars

For club-music mavens, the return of New York's seminal breakbeat artistes Liquid Liquid is a reminder that in the beginning freestyle dancers romped and stomped to the rhythms of percussionists. Two hundred electric guitars and basses line the park and plug in for the world premiere of Rhys Chatham's A Crimson Grail for 200 Electric Guitars.

this is the schedule

7:00-7:30pm: Asphalt Orchestra
7:30-8:30pm: Rhys Chatham: A Crimson Grail
8:30-8:45pm: Intermission
8:45-9:45pm: Liquid Liquid
10:00pm: Curfew
