Basement Jaxx

"There's a good reason why the new record is called Scars," says Felix Buxton. "Making it has been a grueling process. When we finished recording, it felt like we'd come out of a boxing ring." His bandmate Simon Ratcliffe nods in agreement.
Basement Jaxx's new album 'Scars' will be released by Ultra and XL Records on October 6th. A little less than a month later the band will visit North America to DJ in a few major cities, including New York City of course. Tickets are now on sale for a November 7th gig at Santos Party House which doubles as FIXED's 5-year anniversary party.

'Scars' is full of guest appearances including Kelis, Maleka & Chipmunk, Eli "Paperboy" Reed, Sam Sparro, Lightspeed Champion, Amp Fiddler, Yo Majesty, Yoko Ono, Paloma Faith, Lisa Kekaula, Jose Hendrix, and Jose James. All dates, the tour poster, the Scars (cover art above) tracklisting, and the video for "Raindrops", below....

is it possible to even be "good" at delivering a 'meh' comment on this website?

Their last show at Webster was pretty great. I don't know about this scaled down DJ set though. How big is Santos House Party? I've actually never been.

"is it possible to even be "good" at delivering a 'meh' comment on this website?"

I know, I know. It's just funny when people can't even insert the letters well. Stupid people do stupid things, I guess.

BV, you should have people register to make comments from now on.... and as soon as someone make a "MEH" comment, suspend their registration. (Doing the same for "I'd hit it" and "what time does Daft Punk go on?" comments. But the "MEH's" are the worst.)

Seriously.

Is that first image an homage to the cover of Wings' 'Greatest Hits' album?

That’s a good news. I adore Basement Jaxx. Their style is very special and different. And it attracts me greatly. I read about them a lot. I found a lot of interesting articles about them at the pdf search engine http://pdf.rapid4me.com . They seem to be very interesting not only as a the members of the group but as personalities.

THE SHOW AT SANTOS WAS REEEEEEDICULOUS.....they tore the roof of that place.....

I'm not really all that into modern music however I am really enjoying listening to Basement Jaxx. They are one of the only bands that actually come up with music that is innovative and exciting.

Paloma Faith's track is dope. She's pretty cool actually - found out about her on vevo, she's being featured as their "lift artist". Check it out
