Charlatans UK cancel US/Canada tour due to shoulder injury
Charlatans UK were set to kick off a North American tour on September 17th. That included shows with Hatcham Social at Bowery Ballroom, Music Hall of Williamsburg, and Maxwell's. That entire tour is now canceled due to the need of their drummer to get shoulder surgery. New dates may be rescheduled, but no promises at the moment. Refunds will be issued.

That's a real shame. I love this band and was planning on going to 4 shows. Jon the drummer is a really great guy and I hope he has a speedy recovery!

^^^ I don't like his blog either (especially the scathing review he gave to a Camera Obscura show a couple month back)... but that's a little uncalled for.
You should say that to his face the next time you see him at a show. Classy.

I am thinking about starting a band called the Beatles, but since some other guys have a band with the same name, mine will be called the Beatles UK.

This is such a diappointment. ANOTHER cancellation. Best wishes for his recovery. Tore my rotator cuff 3 years ago. 9 months of rehab. Sucked. Maxwells was going to be incredible although I was worried all their gear wouldn't fit on the stage. PLEASE RESCHEDULE!!!!

Ticketmaster has a lot of the cancelations listed but not for all the US shows...must be the case...BV is good though. He is the Barbara Walters of the music world!
