Peter Murphy

There was one absolutely insane (not in the fun way, but in the clinical way) woman who was clearly drunk and stumbled up behind us and kept calling up to the stage demanding attention.

Crazy-Lady: Peter! It's Leslie [turning back towards us] I know him, he remembers me.

Crazy-Lady: Peter! You have to help me, Peter! They're going to kill me!

I am not making this shit up!
She started making weird shapes with her hands like she was casting spells, and kept holding out her hand to Peter and the guitarist, cupped as if she was demanding an offering from them.

When Peter shook hands with everyone standing near the stage, Crazy Leslie tried to get his attention again:
Crazy-Lady: Peter, it's Leslie! You remember me, Peter!
Peter Murphy: I'm sorry, I'm sure I don't remember you. [Nymphean]

Since there was no Nine Inch Nails show last night (they start back up again in Chicago tonight) and I didn't want to go a day without a Peter Murphy post, I was glad to remember that we had this unused set of pictures in the reserve from one of Peter's July shows at Highline Ballroom in NYC (they may or may not be from the show Leslie was at) (actually, Leslie was probably at both). Thanks so much Lori. From his banter with the crowd that night, seems like a pretty sweet guy too.

Nice to catch him with NIN - I still have no idea how he withstood hanging upside down for more than 4 minutes... tough bird, that one. :)

PM's tour for "Dust" WAS amazing. Twent should have stolen some ideas from that Murphy period.

White on white, hipster trust funds
Comb the CD racks
Twent la Roidner is dead

The freaks have left the concert hall
The customers have been bled
Creatine, the NIN box sets,

Twentie La Roidner is dead

Undead undead undead

The slutty gothic whores
in black file past his tomb
Buying t-shirts, buttons,
posters and DVDs too,

Alone in a darkened room
Trent count$$$$....

Yes Twent La Roidner is dead
Undead undead undead....

Twent's undead.
